President Trump Provides an Update on Operation Epic Fury

(White House/Molly Riley) President Trump announced “very good and productive conversations regarding a complete and total resolution of our hostilities in the Middle East.” As Operation Epic Fury proceeds, the Department of State continues to take historic action to assist American citizens, who wish to depart the Middle East, return to the United States. Since February 28, more than 70,000 Americans have left the Middle East and returned to the United States. We have provided security guidance and travel assistance to more than 50,000 U.S. citizens and chartered over 60 flights from the region. U.S. Brings Home American Imprisoned in AfghanistanDennis Coyle, an American unjustly imprisoned in Afghanistan in January of 2025, returned to the United States on March 25 thanks to the determination of President Trump. Coyle joins over 100 Americans who have been freed in the past 15 months under President Trump’s second term in office. While thanking the United Arab Emirates and Qatar for their support in securing Coyle’s release in a statement, Secretary Rubio noted the important work still to be done. “We are still seeking the immediate return of Mahmood Habibi, Paul Overby, and all other unjustly detained Americans,” the Secretary said. “The Taliban must end their practice of hostage diplomacy.” Fostering a Future with Technology and Education
