Για μεγάλη πρόοδο σε ότι αφορά την προσέλκυση αναισθησιολόγων (μιας ειδικότητας που παρουσιάζει μεγάλες ελλείψεις σχεδόν σε όλη τη χώρα) στο ΕΣΥ το 2024, έκανε λόγο ο υπουργός Υγείας απαντώντας σε επίκαιρη ερώτηση του βουλευτή της Νέας Αριστεράς Ιλχάν Αχμέτ για το νοσοκομείο Ξάνθης.

Επιχειρηματική Αποστολή στην Κωνσταντινούπολη  8-9 Μαΐου 2025 ΠΡΟΣΚΛΗΣΗ   Το ΕΒΕΑ, ο ΣΕΒ, ο ΣΕΒΕ και η Enterprise Greece, σε συνεργασία με το Επιμελητήριο της Κωνσταντινούπολης και το Γενικό Προξενείο της Ελλάδας στην Κωνσταντινούπολη, με την υποστήριξη του Enterprise Europe Network (EEN-Hellas 2025), διοργανώνουν Επιχειρηματική Αποστολή στην Κωνσταντινούπολη, από την Πέμπτη, 8 Μαΐου έως την Παρασκευή, 9 Μαΐου 2025. Στην αποστολή μπορούν να συμμετέχουν έως 20 ελληνικές εταιρείες, από όλους τους κλάδους της ελληνικής οικονομίας, με έμφαση σε εταιρείες τεχνολογίας, τηλεπικοινωνιών και πληροφορικής (ICT), κατασκευών υποδομών και δικτύων, διαχείρισης απορριμμάτων, κατασκευών  και δομικών υλικών κλπ.  Θα τηρηθεί σειρά προτεραιότητας με βάση την ημερομηνία εκδήλωσης ενδιαφέροντος. Το Επιχειρηματικό Forum θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Παρασκευή, 9 Μαΐου 2025 στο Επιμελητήριο  της Κωνσταντινούπολης (Hobyar, Reşadiye Cd. 7/9, 34112 Eminönü - Fatih/Fatih/İstanbul, Türkiye), όπου και θα διεξαχθούν οι διμερείς συναντήσεις (Β2Β) ανάμεσα σε ελληνικές και τουρκικές επιχειρήσεις.

The following GAIN reports were released on March 17, 2025. _______   China: Number One Document Provides Beijing's Thoughts and Highlights Food Security and Rural Reform On February 23, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Central Committee and the State Council unveiled the 2025 No. 1 Document, which outlines comprehensive strategies for agriculture and rural development. While food security remains a cornerstone, the policy now places greater emphasis on reforming and modernizing rural practices to address emerging challenges in China’s rural revitalization efforts. The Document advocates for financial relief for the beef and dairy cattle industry, and to monitor the size of China's swineherd. It also promotes genetically-engineered corn and soybean development as part of the “new productive” forces of agriculture emphasizing the transformative potential of AI, big data, and drone tech in advancing smart agriculture. To promote rural development, the Document extends expiring rural land leases by 30 years and promotes more flexible agricultural financing vehicles that could make access to capital easier for rural communities.   Taiwan: Unveiling Taiwanese Appetite for Tree Nut Delights The United States holds 66 percent of Taiwan’s tree nut market, with 2024 imports rising 19 percent to nearly 13,000 metric tons, valued at USD 76 million. Lower 2023 crop costs led to upfront stockpiling, attracting new importers who expanded product variety and premium offerings to differentiate in the market. The core consumer base (ages 45-74) is health-conscious and willing to pay for high-quality tree nut. Το 86% των εργαζομένων ζητούν οι κλαδικές συμβάσεις να είναι δεσμευτικές για όλες τις επιχειρήσεις

Λιγότερο από 1 στους 3 εργαζόμενους του ιδιωτικού τομέα (29%) καλύπτεται από κάποια μορφής συλλογικής σύμβασης

Η ΓΣΕΕ και το Ινστιτούτο Εργασίας δίνουν στη δημοσιότητα τα αποτελέσματα έρευνας κοινής γνώμης, που υλοποιήθηκε σε συνεργασία με την εταιρεία Alco, και απευθύνεται σε εργαζόμενους ιδιωτικού τομέα, για την καταγραφή-μέτρηση των απόψεων τους σε ό,τι αφορά το γενικότερο κοινωνικό κλίμα στους χώρους δουλειάς και στα νοικοκυριά των μισθωτών εργαζομένων.

Commission launches targeted consultation on the reduced content and the standardised format and sequence of the EU follow-on prospectus and the EU growth issuance prospectus The European Commission has launched a consultation addressed to all potential issuers and users (investors or others) of the EU follow on prospectus and EU growth issuance prospectus in the EU, irrespective of the domicile of these market participants or users. The outcome of this consultation should enable the Commission to incorporate stakeholders' feedback on how to effectively define the reduced content and the standardised format and sequence of the EU follow on prospectus and the EU growth issuance prospectus. Prime Minister Carney meets with President of France Emmanuel Macron

The Prime Minister, Mark Carney, today met with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, during a visit to Paris to strengthen the economy and security of both of our countries.

Prime Minister Carney and President Macron discussed their intention to build stronger economies and defence and commercial ties between Canada and France – including in the areas of responsible and safe artificial intelligence, critical minerals, and clean energy – and to defend rules-based free trade.

The Prime Minister and the President highlighted the launch of a new bilateral partnership on intelligence and security. The partnership will focus on enhancing cybersecurity and intelligence sharing on significant threats. Key topics will include economic security, violent extremism, counter-proliferation, interference, espionage, sabotage, and threats associated with advanced technologies.
