The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced that the Sovereign Prince of Monaco, His Serene Highness Albert II, will visit Canada from May 7 to 8, 2018.
During the visit, Prime Minister Trudeau and H.S.H. Prince Albert II will discuss our shared commitment to the Paris Agreement, and the actions our countries are taking to address climate change and protect the world’s oceans.
They will also discuss the work of the Canadian chapter of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, which focuses particularly on the Canadian Arctic, including its communities, biodiversity, and oceans.

Amazon creates thousands of new jobs in Vancouver

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today welcomed Amazon’s announcement that it will create 3,000 new jobs in Vancouver. Combined with the 1,000 new jobs announced by Amazon in November 2017, this will bring the company’s workforce in Canada to over 9,000 employees.
Canada is known for its excellent post-secondary institutions and robust high-tech sector, which produce top-tier talent in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Amazon’s expansion will help Canada develop and retain talented students and professionals, create good, well-paying middle class jobs, and grow our economy.
