EU avg. farm gate milk prices up (46.61 c/kg) in Dec 2023; +2.6% compared to Nov 2023 and -20% compared to Dec 2022; estimated price for Jan 2024: 45.94 c.kg (-1.4%);
Compared to Nov 2023, the Dec 2023 milk price is down in US (37.5/kg; -8%) and up in NZ (32.5c/kg; +2.7%);
Oceania is more price competitive on WMP and SMP, while US is more price competitive on cheddar, and EU on Butter;
GDT last auction (06.02.2024): general price index +4.2%, with a price increase for all products; AMF (+3.3%), butter (+10.3%), BMP (+1.2%), Cheese (+6.3%), Lactose (+2.6%), SMP (+4.6%) and WMP (+3.4%).
