Tsivicos meets with Cypriot President, House of Representatives Speaker

AHEPA Supreme President Savas Tsivicos recently met with Nikos Christodoulides, President of the Republic of Cyprus, and discussed important issues concerning the Greek America Community and Cyprus. In addition to notifying President Christodoulides about AHEPA's 2024 Supreme Convention in Cyprus, Tsivicos spoke about promoting the Cyprus issue at a global level and strategic relations between the Republic of Cyprus and the United States.

Supreme President Tsivicos also met with Annita Dimitriou, Speaker of the House of Representatives in Cyprus. Speaker Dimitriou congratulated him on his election to the office of Supreme President, and praised AHEPA for keeping Cyprus and the Cyprus issue in the forefront of their concerns. ICYMI: AHEPA Family Elections

The delegates of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (Order of AHEPA), the leading grassroots service association for the nation’s millions of American citizens of Hellenic heritage and Philhellenes, elected Savas Tsivicos, of Ocean, N.J., Supreme President, at the 101st Annual Supreme Convention, Las Vegas, Nev. Tsivicos, a member of Thomas Edison Chapter 287, ran unopposed in elections that were held July 27, 2023. Formal installation ceremonies were held July 28, 2023. The Executive Committee of the 2023-24 Supreme Lodge is comprised of: Canadian President Emmanuel Constas, Supreme Vice President E. Chris Kaitson, Supreme Secretary Dr. Zenon Christodoulou, Supreme Treasurer Demetrios Kirkiles, and Supreme Counselor Themistocles Frangos.   The Supreme Governors are: Region I: Kostas G. Sofikits; Region II: Georgio F. Comninos; Region III: Dimitri Rozanitis; Region IV: Alexander Boutsioulis; Region V: John Karipides; Region VI: George George; Region VII: Marshall A. Monsell, III; Region VIII: Wynn Storton; and Region X: Basilio Petkidis. Alex Geourntas earned re-election, and Louis Atsaves election, to the AHEPA Board of Trustees. Nicholas A. Karacostas, PSP, earned re-election as Chairman of the Board. The organizations that comprise the AHEPA Family also held elections. Marianthi Treppiedi was elected Daughters of Penelope Grand President, Alec Economakis was elected Sons of Pericles Supreme President, and Ally Tsenekos was elected Maids of Athena Grand President. ASL Closes $25.18M Deal to Revitalize Three Alabama Communities

AHEPA Senior Living (ASL) is pleased to announce the closing of a $25.18 million RAD for PRAC conversion to rehabilitate and preserve three properties in Mobile, Alabama. It is ASL’s first closing under HUD’s new RAD for PRAC conversion, a process that allows a nonprofit to rehabilitate an affordable senior housing community for the long term. The deal closed on Aug. 3, 2023. read more
