U.S. Ambassador Pyatt:
AHEPA "Puts Our Shared Values into Practice"
U.S. Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey R. Pyatt detailed AHEPA’s extensive contribution to the U.S.-Greece relationship at a “Conference on Cultural Diplomacy and Contribution of Diaspora” organized by AHEPA Hellas District 25 and Chapter HJ-25, Patras, Jan. 20, 2021. Ambassador Pyatt’s inspiring presentation, which included a welcome for a hopeful in-person Supreme Convention in Athens this summer, is appreciated greatly, announced Supreme President George G. Horiates.

To start the new year, AHEPA Mother Lodge Chapter 1 and the Sons of Pericles Adelphi Chapter 86 joined members of the Atlanta Greek Orthodox Community to prepare over 250 meals in support of the Annual USO Holiday Block Leave HBL)for the troops on Jan. 2, 2021.

Blinken Confirmed to Serve as
Secretary of State
AHEPA welcomes the U.S. Senate's confirmation of Antony Blinken to serve as Secretary of State, announced Supreme President George G. Horiates. The U.S. Senate confirmed Blinken with bipartisan support in a 78 to 22 vote, yesterday.
"We congratulate Secretary Blinken, and we look forward to working with him, and State Department officials, to help take U.S. relations with Greece and the Republic of Cyprus to greater heights and further enhancing the bonds between our peoples, a role AHEPA proudly has played for nearly a century," Horiates said.

St. Photios National Shrine
Ahepan "Basile the Comedian" is performing a virtual benefit show for Saint Photios Greek Orthodox National Shrine, Feb. 5, 2021, 9 p.m. Tickets are $30. All proceeds benefit the National Shrine.
AHEPA's support for Saint Photios is well-documented and spans more than three decades. Thirty-five years ago, AHEPA removed a significant financial burden of the Shrine by burning its mortgage.
St. Photios National Shrine is dedicated to the first colony of Greek people who came to America in 1768.

AHEPA is preparing for the 99th AHEPA Family Supreme Convention to be held in Athens, Greece, July 25 to 31, 2021. The official convention hotel will be the Hotel Grande Bretagne. Reservation deadline is March 31, 2021.
Greece will be celebrating the bicentennial of its independence in 2021 and the AHEPA family will be there to join in the celebration! See you there!

AHEPA recently launched a comprehensive 100th Anniversary member data verification project, announced Supreme President George G. Horiates.
"We are requesting all members of AHEPA to contact us for this important project and encourage you to be a part of the Centennial celebrations," Horiates said, adding that members should have received an email with detailed instruction this week. "We've assembled the information currently listed in our member files and now need your help to confirm the accuracy of your data and fill in any information gaps."
