The following GAIN reports were released on May 19, 2025. _______   Argentina: FAIRS Export Certificate Report Annual This report includes technical requirements and export certificates for the export of food and agricultural products to Argentina. It complements the Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards Annual Country 2024 Report.   Brazil: Coffee Annual Brazil’s total coffee production for marketing year 2025/26 (July-June) is forecast at 65 million bags (60 kilograms per bag), green bean equivalent, a 0.5 percent increase over the previous crop year. Arabica production is forecast at 40.9 million bags a decrease due to adverse weather conditions. Robusta/conilon production is forecast to increase to 24.1 million bags due to favorable weather conditions and effective irrigation techniques. Post forecasts total coffee exports for MY 2025/26 (July-June) at 41.7 million 60-kg bags, green bean equivalent, down 6 percent in relation to the 2024/25 estimate.

Παρά τις έντονες εναλλαγές του καιρού αυτή την άνοιξη, συνεχίζουμε εντατικά την πολυεπίπεδη έρευνα: από τα επιφανειακά νερά, μελετώντας την παρουσία ζωοπλαγκτού και μικροπλαστικών ινών, έως τις συνθήκες σε βάθη που φτάνουν τα 1.000 μέτρα, καθώς και την παρακολούθηση των πληθυσμών επτά ειδών θαλάσσιων θηλαστικών που μελετάμε στο Αιγαίο. Καθώς οι ανθρώπινες απειλές αυξάνονται ανησυχητικά χρόνο με τον χρόνο και οι φιλόδοξες επίσημες εξαγγελίες για την προστασία των θαλασσών παραμένουν μόνο στα λόγια, η ανάγκη για ουσιαστική δράση είναι σήμερα πιο επείγουσα από ποτέ.

Καταστροφική Αλιεία στο Αιγαίο: Τροφοδοτόντας μία κρίση, περιβαλλοντική κοινωνική και διατροφική. Σε μία χώρα που επί δεκαετίες επιμένει να απαξιώνει την αλιεία, εφαρμόζοντας διαχρονικά καταστροφική αλιευτική διαχείριση που στις μέρες μας κορυφαίνεται, οι θάλασσες μας φτωχαίνουν. Ευάλωτα παραγωγικά οικοσυστήματα καταστρέφονται, οι ψαράδες δεν μπορούν πλέον να ζήσουν από τη θάλασσα, ενω πολλά θαλάσσια είδη δυσκολεύονται να βρουν τροφή. Η παράνομη και καταστροφική αλιευτική δραστηριότητα από συρόμενα αλιευτικά εργαλεία αποτελεί βασική αιτία αυτής της καταστροφής, απειλώντας τη βιοποικιλότητα, την εύθραυστη ισορροπία των θαλάσσιων οικοσυστημάτων, αλλά και την ίδια την επιβίωση των αλιευτικών κοινωνιών. Με συνεντεύξεις από ψαράδες και επιστήμονες του Ινστιτούτου Θαλάσσιας Προστασίας Αρχιπέλαγος αυτό το ντοκιμαντέρ μικρού μήκους αναδεικνύει ένα φλέγον περιβαλλοντικό ζήτημα που δεν επηρεάζει μόνο τους αλιείς και τα θαλάσσια είδη, αλλά ως διατροφική κρίση ήδη μας επηρεάζει όλους. Αθήνα, 21 Μαΐου 2025     Δήλωση της Εκπροσώπου Τύπου της Νέας Δημοκρατίας Αλεξάνδρας Σδούκου     Η παραβατικότητα των ανηλίκων είναι ένα από τα σοβαρότερα προβλήματα της εποχής. Η αντιμετώπισή της απαιτεί Εθνική Στρατηγική και ευρύτερες συναινέσεις, και δεν θα έπρεπε να αποτελεί πεδίο πολιτικής αντιπαράθεσης – ιδίως όταν η στρατηγική αυτή βασίζεται σε εισηγήσεις εξειδικευμένων επιστημόνων από πολλά διαφορετικά πεδία.   Στη Νέα Δημοκρατία πιστεύουμε ότι η πρόληψη της βίας και της παραβατικότητας στους νέους απαιτεί στήριξη και φροντίδα – αλλά και σχέδιο, θεσμούς και πράξεις. Δεν διαφωνούμε με την ανάγκη για ενσυναίσθηση και συναισθηματική αγωγή. Αυτά, όμως, δεν επαρκούν από μόνα τους. Πάνω απ’ όλα, οφείλουμε να είμαστε πραγματικά δίπλα στα παιδιά και στην οικογένεια – όχι μόνο στα λόγια, αλλά με πολιτικές και εργαλεία που τους στηρίζουν στην πράξη.
