The United States condemns Iran’s attack on Israel in the strongest terms. While we do not seek escalation, we will continue to support Israel’s defense, and as the President made clear, we will defend U.S. personnel. I will be consulting with allies and partners in the region and around the world in the hours and days ahead.

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke today with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. Secretary Blinken and the Foreign Minister discussed last night’s unprecedented air attack against Israel by Iran. The Secretary reiterated that while the United States does not seek escalation, we will continue to support Israel’s defense. The Secretary and the Foreign Minister agreed on the importance of a coordinated diplomatic response. The two agreed to stay in close touch on those efforts.

● Council of the EU   29/04/2024 11:57 | Press release | The Council gives the final green light to the prolongation of a child sexual abuse protection measure   Today, the Council adopted a regulation prolonging an interim measure to combat online child sexual abuse. The interim measure will be extended until 3 April 2026. Main elements The regulation which was adopted today sustains a derogation from data protection rules in the electronic communications sector which allows providers of so-called number-independent interpersonal communications services (e.g. messaging services) to use specific technologies for the processing of personal and other data to detect online child sexual abuse on their services, to report and to remove it. The prolongation also forsees that, in order to obtain comprehensive reporting and comparable statistics, providers should make the information about the reports of detected online child sexual abuse that they submit to the authorities and the Commission available in a structured format. Next steps The regulation enters into force on the day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the EU. It is directly applicable in all member states. Background The derogation, first agreed in 2021 and now extended until 3 April 2026 will bridge the gap until a new EU law, currently on the table of the Council and the European Parliament, offers a long-term legal framework for the detection of online child sexual abuse.   Prevention of online child sexual abuse (background information)

 Statement by the Prime Minister on the National Day of Mourning

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today issued the following statement on the National Day of Mourning:

“Today, on the National Day of Mourning, we come together to honour the Canadians who have been injured, killed, or sick because of workplace incidents. We remember those who left us too soon, and we support all those who still live with the unimaginable loss.

“Since 1991, the National Day of Mourning has been observed across Canada. To pay tribute to those whose lives were tragically lost, many Canadians perform acts of remembrance, such as lighting candles, laying wreaths, observing moments of silence, and wearing commemorative pins, ribbons or black armbands. Monuments have also been created as tributes to the victims, like the LifeQuilt – a memorial honouring young workers between the ages of 14 and 24 who have been killed or injured on the job.

“The federal government is working with employees and employers to make sure workers are taken care of, including by strengthening the Canada Labour Code. As part of these efforts, through Bill C-65, we are fighting harassment and violence, including sexual and domestic violence, to ensure workers have the support they need – whenever they need it.

“Through the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety, we’re providing up-to-date resources and services to raise awareness on worker safety, particularly for new and young Canadian workers starting their careers. I encourage employers, employees, and students to make use of the Centre’s resources – because safer workplaces will mean a safer, better Canada.

“As we mark the National Day of Mourning, let us take a moment to honour those who have lost their lives or were injured at work. I invite Canadians to join the conversation on social media by using the hashtag #DayOfMourning to raise awareness and tell their stories.”

Η προσφυγή αναφέρεται στα εντός των ορίων πόλεων και σε όσες περιπτώσεις γίνεται χρήση των άρθρων 10# 1, 15 # 8 και 19 # 2  του Νέου Οικοδομικού Κανονισμού και ιδιαίτερα στην σωρευτική χρήση αυτών, (εξαιρουμένου του άρθρου 25 #1 που αφορά την αναβάθμιση της ενεργειακής απόδοσης του κτιρίου) άρθρα που επιτρέπουν τη χορήγηση ευεργετημάτων ύψους για κτίρια τα οποία πληρούν συγκεκριμένα κριτήρια που ορίζει ο ΝΟΚ
