● Council of the EU   01/06/2023 10:56 | Press release | Combatting violence against women: Council adopts decision about EU’s accession to Istanbul Convention   The Council today approved the EU’s accession to the Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence (Istanbul Convention). "Violence against women is unacceptable and must end. These acts have no place in our societies. The Istanbul Convention is a landmark and a catalyst for action. Today’s decision on the EU’s accession shows our commitment to stepping up actions against gender-based violence and in support of its victims." Paulina Brandberg, Swedish Minister for Gender Equality and Deputy Minister for Employment Binding legal framework The Convention creates a legal framework to protect women against violence. It covers a broad range of measures, from data collection and awareness raising to legal measures on criminalising different forms of violence against women. It includes measures for the protection of victims and the provision of support services, and addresses the gender-based violence dimension in matters of asylum and migration. Equality between men and women The EU’s accession to the Convention is a boost for EU efforts to realise equality between women and men. Violence against women is not only a criminal offence but also an extreme form of discrimination, entrenched in gender inequalities. At the same time, violence against women contributes to maintaining and reinforcing these inequalities.

2600 : Fondation de Marseille par les Grecs venus de Phocée - 1993 Marseille remporte la Ligue des champions
2600 : Ίδρυση της Μασσαλίας από τους Έλληνες της Φώκαιας - 1993 Η Μαρσέιγ κατακτά το Champions League

Marseille, pour les 30 ans de la victoire de l'OM en Ligue des champions
Le vendredi 26 mai 2023, Marseille était en fête. La ville phocéenne a célébré la victoire de l’Olympique de Marseille en Ligue des champions en 1993.
Il y a 30 ans, l'OM devenait le premier club français de l'histoire à remporter la Ligue des champions en battant l'AC Milan (1-0) en finale.

Une bannière géante a été déployée depuis le balcon de la mairie de Marseille lors des festivités pour les 30 ans du sacre de l’OM.
Sur la bannière était écrit : « *2600* A JAMAIS LES PREMIERS *1993* »

Deux dates mémorables :
2600 : Fondation de Marseille par les Grecs venus de Phocée
1993 : Marseille remporte la Ligue des champions

Μασσαλία, για τα 30 χρόνια από τη νίκη της Ο.Μ στο Champions League
Την Παρασκευή 26 Μαΐου 2023 γιόρταζε η Μασσαλία. Η πόλη της Μασσαλίας πανηγύρισε τη νίκη της Ολιμπίκ της Μασσαλίας στο Champions League το 1993.
Πριν από 30 χρόνια, η Ο.Μ έγινε ο πρώτος γαλλικός σύλλογος στην ιστορία που κέρδισε το Champions League επικρατώντας της Μίλαν (1-0) στον τελικό.

Ένα γιγάντιο πανό ξεδιπλώθηκε από το μπαλκόνι του δημαρχείου της Μασσαλίας κατά τη διάρκεια των εορταστικών εκδηλώσεων για την 30ή επέτειο από τη στέψη της Ο.Μ.

Στο πανό έγραφε : *2600* A JAMAIS LES PREMIERS *1993* »

Νοσηλευτική Ημερίδα με θέμα: «Η Νοσηλευτική του Ασκληπιείου με το βλέμμα στο μέλλον»

Από την Πρόεδρο της Οργανωτικής και Επιστημονικής Επιτροπής της Ημερίδας, κα Όλγα Μοδινού, Διευθύντρια της Νοσηλευτικής του Ασκληπιείου Βούλας, ενημερώθηκε ο Σύλλογος Φίλων του Νοσοκομείου Ασκληπιείο Βούλας ότι στο πλαίσιο των ομιλιών σε θέματα υγείας η 2η ΔΥΠΕ Πειραιώς & Αιγαίου, το Γενικό Νοσοκομείο «Ασκληπιείο» Βούλας και η Ένωση Νοσηλευτών Ελλάδος συνδιοργανώνουν Νοσηλευτική Ημερίδα το Σάββατο 10/06/2023 και ώρες 08.00 - 17:00, με θέμα: «Η Νοσηλευτική του Ασκληπιείου με το βλέμμα στο μέλλον». Η ημερίδα θα διεξαχθεί δια ζώσης στο Αμφιθέατρο του Νοσοκομείου «Ασκληπιείο» Βούλας και είναι αφιερωμένη σε όλους τους νοσηλευτές που κατά την περίοδο της πανδημίας κράτησαν το σύστημα υγείας όρθιο παρά τις αντίξοες συνθήκες.

 

Προς πληρέστερη ενημέρωση, συνάπτεται στο παρόν το αναλυτικό επιστημονικό πρόγραμμα της Ημερίδας για όσους ενδιαφέρονται να την παρακολουθήσουν.

EST at the 2023 European Youth Event The EST has been selected to organise one of the workshops during the EYE 2023, taking place in Strasbourg on the 9th and 10th of June. Our Working Groups on Human Rights and Youth Employment will host a workshop on the protection of Minority Rights in the workplace.  

EST Ambassador at the Europa-Universität, Flensburg On the 9th of May, for Europe day, our Ambassador to Flensburg, Germany held a stand at the Europa-Universität. Beatriz Freitas presented the EST to other students, and explained her own experience as an EST ambassador.

European Public Health Week 2023 The 22nd of May marked the start of the European Health Week. Our Working Group on Public Health and Policy organized two events with #StudentsAgainstCOVID. The discussion focused on the role of virtual art exhibitions in the fight against chronic diseases, and the concept of social surgery.
