“This week, let’s all speak up and raise our voices for mental health. Mental Health Week, led by the Canadian Mental Health Association, encourages everyone to talk freely about what mental health means to us and listen compassionately to the stories of others.

“Mental health affects all of us. Yet too often, this important part of our wellbeing is dismissed or stigmatized, leaving people to suffer in silence. By being open and talking about mental health with others, we can break down the stigma and make sure everyone gets the support they need.

“The Government of Canada is working with provinces, territories, Indigenous communities, and other partners to improve access to mental health services. Past budgets have reinforced this commitment, and helped provide people across the country with the mental health care they need. By working together, we can help make sure all Canadians have access to these vital health care services.

“We’ve all been affected by mental health, whether we know someone who has experienced a mental health issue or whether we’ve gone through these struggles ourselves. There is no shame in struggling with a mental health issue. Today and every day, let’s work to end stigma and make sure everyone has the support they need.”

Φεστιβάλ Οπτικοακουστικών Τεχνών Audiovisual Arts Festival

Η Σχολή Μουσικής και Οπτικοακουστικών Τεχνών του Ιονίου Πανεπιστημίου σας προσκαλεί στην έκθεση του Βασίλη Αλεξάνδρου με τίτλο «Μηχανές Ευδαιμονίας» τη Δευτέρα 6 Μαΐου 2019, ώρα 20:30 στις Αλευραποθήκες, στο Παλαιό Φρούριο. Η έκθεση σηματοδοτεί την έναρξη του 13ου Φεστιβάλ Οπτικοακουστικών Τεχνών που θα πραγματοποιηθεί από 6-12 Μαΐου 2019 στην Κέρκυρα. Το 13ο κατά σειρά Φεστιβάλ Οπτικοακουστικών Τεχνών συνδιοργανώνεται για ακόμα μία φορά από τα δύο τμήματα της Σχολής Μουσικής και Οπτικοακουστικών Τεχνών του Ιονίου Πανεπιστημίου: το Tμήμα Τεχνών Ήχου και Εικόνας (ΤΤΗΕ) και το Tμήμα Μουσικών Σπουδών (Εργαστήριο Ηλεκτροακουστικής Μουσικής Έρευνας και Εφαρμογών ΕΡΗΜΕΕ). Το πρόγραμμα του Φεστιβάλ Οπτικοακουστικών Τεχνών, καλύπτει ένα ευρύ φάσμα καλλιτεχνικών, εκπαιδευτικών και επιστημονικών δράσεων. Επενδύοντας παραδοσιακά στην εξωστρέφεια, το 13ο Φεστιβάλ έχει προχωρήσει σε συνεργασίες με πολιτιστικούς φορείς της πόλης της Κέρκυρας όπως την Εφορεία Αρχαιοτήτων Κέρκυρας, το Δημοτικό Περιφερειακό Θέατρο Κέρκυρας, την Φωτογραφική Λέσχη Κέρκυρας (ΦΩΤΟ.ΛΕ.ΚΕ.), την Επιτροπή Κοινωνικής Συμπαράστασης της Περιφερειακής Εφορίας Προσκόπων Κέρκυρας αλλά και με τον επιχειρηματικό κόσμο της πόλης. Παράλληλα, ανοίγεται και σε διεθνή ιδρύματα του εξωτερικού προσκαλώντας τους κυρίους Adrian Moore και Adam Stanović από το Πανεπιστήμιο του Sheffield, τους κυρίους Ilan Green και Dan Weinstein από την Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών της Μουσράρα της Ιερουσαλήμ, καθώς και τις κυρίες Brigitte Felderer και Anna Vasof από το Πανεπιστήμιο Εφαρμοσμένων Τεχνών της Βιέννης.
