The following GAIN reports were released on July 6, 2026. _______ Post raises MY2025/26 soybean production forecast to 50 million metric tons (MMT) on higher than expected yields reported, while maintaining planted area at 16.5 million hectares (MHA). As of writing, the crop was 98 percent harvested, in line with last year’s pace. With additional supplies available, Post also raises MY2025/26 soybean crush to 43.5 MMT, up 500,000 metric tons. Post maintains whole soybean export forecasts at 5.5 MMT. Post also raises MY2025/26 sunflower production to a record 7 MMT, up 500,000 metric tons from the annual report, reflecting larger than previously reported planted area and record nationwide yields estimated at 2.3 MT/HA. MY2025/26 marks Argentina’s highest sunflower area, production, and yield on record, surpassing the previous record set just one year earlier. By contrast, Post lowers MY2025/26 peanut production to 1.1 MMT as wet and cold conditions delay the harvest, combined with earlier drought stress during key crop development stages in Córdoba, reduced yields. This report provides information on the food and agricultural product import requirements for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Important points of contact for U.S. food exporters are listed in the appendices. All sections of the report have been reviewed and updated. No substantial revisions have occurred over the last year. This report offers guidance on the certificates and documents required for exporting food and agricultural products to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Post maintains its initial MY 2026/27 soybean planted area forecast, with Brazil expected to achieve another record level of soybean production. Although year-over-year area expansion is projected to moderate, the increase in planted area remains the primary driver of record production, as yields may be constrained by higher production costs, elevated interest rates, and El Niño-related weather concerns. Soybean exports are also forecast to reach another record, supported by strong global demand, while domestic crushing is expected to continue expanding. On July 1, 2026, the Consumer Affairs Agency (CAA) of Japan proposed revisions to Japan’s maximum residue levels (MRLs) for 5 agricultural chemicals (Boscalid, Chlorothalonil, Pyrifluquinazon, Tolfenpyrad, and Imidacloprid) applicable to various agricultural commodities. Furthermore, the CAA proposed revoking MRLs for 28 pesticides. Additionally, the CAA proposed revising the food additive specifications for Fructosyl Transferase and Glutaminase. By July 20, 2026, interested U.S. parties can submit comments to PlantDivision@usda.gov for plant products, TFAA.FAS.AnimalDivision@usda.gov for animal products, and PPTRD@usda.gov for processed products. The CAA will also notify the proposed revisions to the World Trade Organization. South Africa commands of the most sophisticated and diversified economies on the African continent, underpinned by a robust commercial sector and well-developed supply chain and distribution infrastructure. While the country’s largely self-sufficient agricultural production base satisfies the preponderance of domestic staple food requirements, the market presents significant export development opportunities for U.S. suppliers — particularly in consumer-oriented food products and value-added ingredients destined for South Africa's dynamic food processing sector. Expanding health consciousness among South African consumers, coupled with demonstrated receptivity to novel and premium product offerings, is generating measurable demand pull for U.S. specialty food and beverage exports; however, U.S. exporters seeking to capture market share must navigate entrenched domestic competition, preferential tariff arrangements afforded to third-country suppliers under regional trade frameworks such as the African Continent The Fresh Deciduous Fruit Annual Report for South Africa is published in December; however, the season for table grapes runs from November to April each year. This report updates the Annual Report with information on the 2025/26 Marketing Year for table grapes. Production in major production regions was favorable. Export share through the Port of Cape Town dropped significantly due to record weather disruptions. Exports of table grapes to the United States dropped by 86 percent from MY 2024/25 record levels after an import duty took effect in April 2025. In 2025, U.S. agricultural and related products exported to the Republic of Korea (ROK), the fifth-largest overseas market for U.S. agricultural products, reached $10.2 billion, an increase of 14 percent from the previous year. The growth significantly outpaced the overall increase in Korea's agricultural and related products imports, which rose only 2.2 percent to $46.3 billion. As a result, the U.S. share of Korea's agricultural import market expanded from 19.6 percent in 2024 to 22 percent in 2025. This report highlights 2025 export performance of the U.S. agricultural products and underlying factors driving market changes. Thai rice exports continue to trail last year's pace, with June 2026 volumes down 23.7 percent compared to the same period in 2025, a slight improvement from the 28.6 percent year-on-year gap recorded in early May, as El Niño-driven stockpiling among ASEAN countries accelerated weekly shipments and pushed prices higher. On June 12, the National Rice Policy and Management Committee (NRPMC) approved a $314 million support package to stabilize paddy prices and is actively pursuing new markets in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, alongside up to 960,000 metric ton (MT) in government-to-government (G2G) sales to China. The Thai government approved a 4-month scheme to reduce the impact of the rise in energy prices in 2026 and the impact on citizens’ purchasing power. The “Thais Help Thais” program valued at $5.4 billion provides participants with a monthly subsidy, which helps cover 60 percent of the price of eligible purchases, while the participants pay the remaining 40 percent. This report details the goals, implementation and initial feedback for this program.
