Dear Delphi community,
The start of 2026 finds the Delphi Economic Forum actively contributing to critical global conversations across Europe and the United States. Throughout January, DEF will convene and participate in three major international events, each addressing pressing economic, geopolitical, and strategic challenges.

January 20, 2026 Stall Valär, Davos, Switzerland
On the margins of the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Delphi Economic Forum will host a high-level roundtable examining the future of US–EU economic cooperation. The discussion will focus on shared priorities such as supply chain diversification, competitiveness, economic and energy security, and workforce transformation, while also addressing points of friction including regulatory divergence and the EU’s pursuit of strategic autonomy. The objective is to identify concrete pathways to reinforce transatlantic bonds in an increasingly complex global environment. |
January 27, 2026
The Sofia Economic Forum VI will bring together policymakers, business leaders, and experts to explore strategies for competitive and inclusive growth in Bulgaria and Southeast Europe. The Forum’s agenda focuses on identifying growth obstacles, learning from international best practices, and promoting corporate social innovation. This year’s edition carries particular significance, as it takes place just weeks after Bulgaria’s accession to the Eurozone on January 1, 2026, marking a historic milestone for the country and the region. |
Securing Maritime Trade & the Global Economy |
January 29, 2026 UN Headquarters, New York
Organized by the Delphi Economic Forum in cooperation with the Permanent Mission of Greece to the United Nations, this roundtable will examine maritime security through an economic and societal lens. Once viewed primarily as a geopolitical issue, maritime security is now widely recognized as a fundamental pillar of global economic stability. The discussion will move beyond traditional threats to focus on the real-world impact of maritime instability on global supply chains, trade flows, and consumer costs, highlighting the direct link between security at sea and everyday economic life. |
These January engagements underscore the Delphi Economic Forum’s ongoing commitment to fostering meaningful dialogue, international cooperation, and actionable solutions at the intersection of economics, policy, and global stability.
