U.S. Ambassador Tsunis Hosts AHEPA Family

U.S. Ambassador to Greece George Tsunis, and his wife, Olga, hosted a reception for the AHEPA Family leadership from the United States, Canada, and Greece at their residence, November 14, on the eve of AHEPA's 100-year anniversary banquet held in Athens on November 15. Supreme President Jimmy Kokotas brought greetings from the U.S. and expressed his excitement for the regional event, which will bring together Ahepans from across North America and Europe. We thank our Brother Ahepan, Ambassador Tsunis, for his hospitality and well wishes!

Supreme President visits Normandy American Cemetery and Omaha Beach Memorial

On Veterans Day, Supreme President Jimmy Kokotas visited the Normandy American Cemetery and the Omaha Beach Memorial in Colleville-sur-Mer, Normandy, France, where during World War II, the Allies invaded German-occupied France on June 6, 1944, D-Day. It was a moving and somber experience.

Past Supreme President Anthony Kouzounis Passes Away The members of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (Order of AHEPA) deeply mourn the passing of Board of Trustees Director and Past Supreme President Anthony Kouzounis, announced Supreme President Jimmy Kokotas. Brother Kouzounis passed away November 8, 2022. He was 86. “We mourn the significant loss of Past Supreme President Anthony Kouzounis,” Supreme President Kokotas said. “Brother Anthony loved the Order immensely, serving numerous offices with dedication, including as a valued member of the Board of Trustees. He will be remembered fondly by the AHEPA family as mentor to many Ahepans, for his generosity to the Order, and as a kind and gentle human being. We are grateful for his service to the community, and he will be missed greatly. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Millie. May his memory be eternal.” Read Full Release
