EU butter prices: 523 €/100 kg, +9.3% up in last 4 weeks,
EU SMP prices: 302 €/100 kg, +4% up in last 4 weeks,
EU WMP prices: 365 €/100 kg, +2.5% up in last 4 weeks,
EU cheddar prices: 330 €/100 kg, +0.4% up in last 4 weeks,
Increase of feed costs (+1.9%) and energy costs (+1.9%) in week 45 compared to the previous 4 weeks,
IT spot milk price up, now at 46.3 c/kg. (14/11/2021),
GDT last auction (16/11/2021): general price index +1.9%. Price increased for: lactose (+1.6%), SMP (+1.4%), butter (+3.5%), cheddar (+2.2%) and WMP (+1.9%),
USA is still more price competitive on butter (difference:~1368 USD/t vs. EU), while Oceania is more competitive on WMP and the EU on SMP & cheddar,
US dairy exports up in Jan.-Sept. 2021: butter(oil) (+129%), cheese (+8%), SMP (+12%), WMP (+9%),
China dairy imports in Jan.-Sept. 2021: butter(oil) (+23%), cheese (+42%), SMP (+34%), WMP (+42%), wheypowder (+29%), casein(ate)s (+42%), condensed (+52%), lactose (+4%),
EU butter exports to China increased by 22% and slightly decreased to the US (-1%) in the first 9 months of 2021,
EU cheese exports increased to the US (+18%) and Switzerland (+6%) but slightly down to Japan (-5%).
