Our Salon Series is back!
We are so excited to launch the Fall 2021 edition of our Salon Series! This time, we’re inspired by our upcoming exhibition All Dolled Up: Fashioning Cultural Expectations and our first guest is Tonya Ruiz, creator of the viral sensation Quarantine Barbies. Tonya will sit down for a virtual conversation with our director and senior curator Elizabeth Semmelhack, so get your questions ready. An exclusive peek at our newest exhibition included! RSVP to save your seat!

Off the Shelf
Never Have I Ever...seen a Manchu platform up close! This beautifully decorated Manchu platform from the mid to late 19th century comes from China and would have likely been worn by an upper class female. Featured in our book The World at Your Feet, which showcases some of the most spectacular artefacts from our collection, watch our episode of Off the Shelf to learn more about this object!
