During the CULT Committee meeting on Tuesday 22 June, the Policy Department B presented the study on “EU sports policy: assessment and possible ways forward”. The presentation was followed by an exchange of views.

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, the President of the European Parliament has established a number of measures to contain the spread of the virus and to safeguard Parliament's core activities. The current precautionary measures do not affect work on legislative priorities. Core activities are maintained to ensure the smooth running of the institution's legislative, budgetary, and scrutiny functions. The meetings allow for remote participation in a virtual environment.

On Thursday 30 September, 9.00-12.00, the AIDA Special Committee will hold a public hearing on the "Data strategy". The EP rapporteur of the INI report on the 'European strategy for data', Miapetra Kumpula-Natri, and the Rapporteur of the AIDA Committee, Axel Voss will be opening and closing the event together with Dragoş Tudorache, the Chair of the AIDA Committee.
The first part of the meeting is dedicated to exchange of views with the European Commission on the "EU data Strategy" as well the "EU digital strategy for the next decade" (the Digital Compass).
