Challenges of Teleworking: organization of working time, work life balance and the right to disconnect

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is organising a remote public hearing on Challenges of Teleworking: organization of working time, work life balance and the right to disconnect on Thursday, 7 January 2021. The COVID-19 pandemic has been a game changer for teleworking, which is now the new norm for millions of workers. Early estimates suggest that close to 40% of workers in the EU began to telework fulltime due to the pandemic. This has led to a number of challenges that the Portuguese Presidency has asked the EESC to examine. The aim of the webinar is to gather the points of view of social partners and other civil society organisations on this topic to feed into the EESC opinion that will be adopted in April 2021 and to further the debate at EU level. Défis du télétravail: organisation du temps de travail, équilibre entre vie professionnelle et vie privée et droit à la déconnexion

Le Comité économique et social européen (CESE) organise une audition publique à distance sur le thème «Défis du télétravail: organisation du temps de travail, équilibre entre vie professionnelle et vie privée et droit à la déconnexion» jeudi 7 janvier 2021. La pandémie de COVID-19 a changé la donne pour le télétravail, qui est désormais la nouvelle norme pour des millions de travailleurs. De récentes estimations indiquent que près de 40 % des travailleurs de l’Union européenne ont commencé à télétravailler à temps plein à cause de la pandémie. Cette situation a entraîné un certain nombre de défis que la présidence portugaise a demandé au CESE d’examiner. L’objectif de ce webinaire est de recueillir les points de vue des partenaires sociaux et d’autres organisations de la société civile sur ce sujet afin d’alimenter l’avis du CESE qui sera adopté en avril 2021 et de faire avancer le débat au niveau de l’UE.
