Τι είναι το Πρόγραμμα MITOS του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης;

Το πρόγραμμα MITOS είναι μία καινοτόμος πρωτοβουλία του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης που ξεκίνησε πιλοτικά το 2020 και φέτος πραγματοποιείται ο νέος, εμπλουτισμένος κύκλος με 25 συμμετέχοντες. Στόχο έχει να προσφέρει δωρεάν στους νέους ερευνητές κρίσιμες γνώσεις, πρακτική εξάσκηση και συμβουλευτική, ώστε να αποκτήσουν βασικά εφόδια για να υποστηρίξουν ενέργειες εμπορικής και επιχειρηματικής αξιοποίησης έρευνας. Υλοποιείται από το Γραφείο Μεταφοράς Τεχνογνωσίας του Πανεπιστημίου Κρήτης και τον οργανισμό #Bizrupt.

Ο Εκπρόσωπος Τύπου της Νέας Δημοκρατίας, κ. Τάσος Γαϊτάνης, έκανε την ακόλουθη δήλωση:

«Πάγια τακτική της Νέας Δημοκρατίας είναι να μην εμπλέκεται στις εσωτερικές διεργασίες άλλων κομμάτων. Και σε αυτή την θέση ήταν και θα παραμείνει σταθερή και τα στελέχη της την τηρούν αυστηρά.

Με έκπληξη ακούσαμε τον κ. Παπανδρέου να μιλάει για εμπλοκή στελεχών της ΝΔ στην εκλογή ηγεσίας του ΚΙΝΑΛ. Θα περιμέναμε μεγαλύτερη σοβαρότητα από έναν πρώην πρωθυπουργό.

Τη μέρα των εκλογών για την ηγεσία του ΚΙΝΑΛ πραγματοποιείται το συνέδριο της ΝΔ στο οποίο θα ληφθούν σημαντικές πολιτικές αποφάσεις. Με αυτό ασχολούνται τα στελέχη της ΝΔ. Ας ασχοληθεί κι αυτός με το να πείσει τα στελέχη του ΚΙΝΑΛ ότι αξίζει την ψήφο τους, αντί να φαντάζεται εμπλοκές που δεν υπάρχουν».

Ο Αντιπρόεδρος της Βουλής και Βουλευτής Δυτικής Αττικής, κ. Αθανάσιος Μπούρας συμμετείχε σε επίσκεψη στο Συμβουλευτικό Σταθμό Υποστήριξης Γυναικών Θυμάτων Βίας στην Ελευσίνα που πραγματοποιήθηκε με πρωτοβουλία της Υφυπουργού Εργασίας και Κοινωνικών Υποθέσεων, αρμόδια για θέματα Δημογραφικής Πολιτικής και Οικογένειας, κας Μαρίας Συρεγγέλα.

Κατά τη συνάντηση, ο κ. Μπούρας πήρε το λόγο, και αφού ευχαρίστησε την Υφυπουργό για την παρουσία της, τόνισε ότι ένιωσε καθήκον και υποχρέωση  να παρευρεθεί σήμερα σε αυτήν την επίσκεψη, προκειμένου να εκφράσει τη στήριξή του στις δράσεις του Συμβουλευτικού Κέντρου Ελευσίνας για τις οποίες το προσωπικό του Κέντρου δίνει καθημερινό αγώνα.  

Ως Πρόεδρος της Επιτροπής Θεσμών και Διαφάνειας, ο κος Μπούρας συμμετέχει ως μέλος στην Εθνική Επιτροπή για τα Δικαιώματα του Ανθρώπου όπου συχνά τις συνεδριάσεις απασχολούν θέματα αναφορικά με την κακοποίηση των γυναικών.

Ο κος Μπούρας τόνισε το γεγονός ότι το τελευταίο διάστημα παρατηρείται αύξηση περιστατικών ενδοοικογενειακής βίας. Το γεγονός αυτό προβληματίζει και επιβάλλει την αφύπνιση των γυναικών, την ευαισθητοποίηση ολόκληρης της κοινωνίας και πρωτίστως την ανάπτυξη δομών που μπορούν να προσφέρουν ψυχοκοινωνική, νομική και οικονομική στήριξη των θυμάτων.

Ο Αντιπρόεδρος της Βουλής ενημέρωσε τους παρευρισκόμενους ότι κατά την τελευταία συνεδρίαση της Διάσκεψης των Προέδρων, μέλος της οποίας είναι ο κ. Μπούρας, αποφασίστηκε ομόφωνα να γίνει ειδική αναφορά στην ολομέλεια της Βουλής, την Πέμπτη 25 Νοεμβρίου, στη Διεθνή ημέρα για την εξάλειψη της βίας κατά των γυναικών.

Κλείνοντας την ομιλία του, ο κ. Μπούρας συνεχάρη τη δημοτική αρχή για το έργο της σε ότι αφορά στην προστασία των γυναικών της Ελευσίνας αλλά και των γειτονικών περιοχών, και υπογράμμισε ότι κάθε κυβερνητική πρωτοβουλία θα πρέπει, κατά την υλοποίησή της, να περιλαμβάνει την τοπική αυτοδιοίκηση,  τους θεσμούς  και τις δομές της και κυρίως την τοπική κοινωνία.

AHEPA E-News Volume 15, Issue 37 | Wednesday, November 17, 2021 AHEPA Marks Veterans Day AHEPA commemorated Veterans Day as Supreme President Jimmy Kokotas, accompanied by Ahepans from Indiana and Illinois, visited the Indiana War Memorial Plaza in Indianapolis and laid a wreath at a memorial at St. Demetrios Church, Hammond, Ind. From there, Supreme President Kokotas travelled to Chicago to place a wreath at the Hellenic American Veterans Memorial. He also visited with Past Supreme President A. Steve Betzelos, a World War II veteran.  Also on Veterans Day, AHEPA Veterans Committee Chairman retired U.S. Army Colonel Nicholas P. Vamvakias, accompanied by Executive Director Basil Mossaidis, led an initiative to lay wreaths at the World War I and World War II Monuments in Washington, DC. They were joined by Ambassador of Greece to the U.S. Alexandra Papadopoulou and Minister of Civil Protection Takis Theodorikakos. Region of Attica's participation in the World Tourism Exhibition "World Travel Market (WTM) London 2021" was crowned with great success

G. Patoulis: "With steady steps and strategic planning, we highlight the true character and identity of Attica, which can be an attractive tourist destination, twelve months per year"

Region of Attica's participation in the important for the world tourist market and the market of the United Kingdom, International Tourism Exhibition “WTM London 2021” was crowned with great success. The Region of Attica participated as a co-exhibitor in the national stand of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO).
The exhibition was organised in hybrid form, i.e. with physical presence in London during the period from 01-03/11/2021 and then with virtual participation in the period from 8-9/11/2021.

On the occasion of the participation of the Region of Attica in the World Travel Market, the Attica Regional Governor G. Patoulis made the following statement:
"By participating in internationally prestigious exhibitions, such as the one held in London, we achieve our goal of enhancing the extroversion and visibility of the comparative advantages of Attica. Attica can be a 12-month destination with authentic tourist experiences and options. With concrete steps and strategic planning, we highlight the true character and identity of Attica, which is an everlasting metropolis of the world, with an important historical and cultural heritage. At the same time, it is a modern, cosmopolitan destination that can satisfy the wishes of even the most demanding visitor by offering safe and quality options. These include gastronomic tourism, cultural tourism, conference tourism and health tourism. In the Region of Attica we believe that tourism can be a key tool for permanent economic and business development; a powerful tool that can contribute to the best display of our positive image at global level and create conditions of progress and prosperity for the residents of Attica".

According to the organizers of the exhibition, there were more than 1,600 exhibitors from over 200 countries and regions with more than 50,000 participants at the event.



At its stand, the Region of Attica welcomed large numbers of visitors and tourism professionals, who had the opportunity to be informed, with the use of rich audiovisual and print material, about the variety of options a trip to Attica may offer to the visitor.

The main objective of the Region of Attica was the dynamic and targeted tourist promotion of Attica and to inform the UK market, as well as the international public, on the comparative advantages of Attica that make it a safe and very attractive multi-dimensional destination for unforgettable holidays throughout the year. In addition, presentations were made about the Region's unique destinations, the various forms of thematic tourism such as gastronomic, cultural, conference tourism, etc., alongside with a variety of activities for all visitors, irrespective of their profile and financial status, which can be enjoyed during a safe and unforgettable holiday trip to Attica throughout the year.

During the International Tourism Exhibition “WTM London 2021”, more than 20 B2B meetings were held with tourism professionals. Some of these include Secret Escapes, FlyToTv.co.il, CT4N Travel, ZancTravel Group, etc. At the same time, contact was made with the University of Birmingham in the context of attracting educational tourism to Attica.



Particularly significant for Attica was the meeting with a high-ranking official of the tour operator "Jet2 Holidays" which plans to increase its routes to Athens airport, starting around the beginning of April until the end of October 2022, with 4 flights per week, and with a first estimate increase in visitors by 22,000.



The Region of Attica was represented by the Executive Regional Councilor of Tourism Mr. Theodoros Koutsogiannopoulos and the Head of the Directorate of Tourism Ms. Athina Kolyva.
The Municipality of Poros, which participated in the exhibition as co-exhibitor of the Region of Attica, was represented by the Member of the Municipal Committee of Tourism Development and Promotion, Mr. Anastasios Fiakas.

Subsequently, around 30 meetings with travel agents, bloggers, tour operators, tourism journalists and other professionals active in the tourism industry from all over the world were planned during the virtual participation in the exhibition. During the 20-minute meetings, the Head of the Tourism Promotion Department of the Directorate of Tourism of the Region of Attica presented the rich geographical and thematic portfolio of Attica, making it a safe and attractive multidimensional destination for unforgettable holidays throughout the year. Indicatively, the following companies are mentioned: TravelZoo, Wanderlust MarriageTravel, MIKI Travel, NKM Media, Oasis Travel, Trivago, etc. Moreover, during the virtual WTM 2021, the Development Company of the Municipality of Piraeus "Destination Piraeus" and the Development Company of the Municipality of Athens "This is Athens - Convention & Visitors Bureau" also participated as co-exhibitors of the Region of Attica with their representatives.

Following its successful presence at the exhibition, the Region of Attica would like to thank all co-exhibitors and the offices of GNTO in Greece and the United Kingdom, for their cooperation and assistance.

Main results
Cohesion policy as one of the most effective policies for achieving key Union objectives

The Council held a debate on the contribution of cohesion policy programmes to recovery, competitive sustainability, the green and digital transitions, resilience and economic, social and territorial cohesion.



Cohesion policy is one of the most effective and important policies of the Union. When the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, it proved to be an effective mechanism for responding to the crisis and it will ensure a balanced recovery, especially in synergy with the Recovery and Resilience Facility, leaving no one behind. We are talking about funds contributed by the citizens to the EU budget, so they must be returned to the people through a number of programmes and projects.Zvonko Černač, Slovenian Minister for Development and European Cohesion Policy, Council Presidency

Ministers discussed the challenges and opportunities in the coming years, focusing on issues reflected in the Presidency discussion paper.

In particular, they addressed two questions:
How can cohesion policy be combined with other EU instruments to further reduce development disparities and enhance resilience in the medium and long term?
How can the different needs of individual regions and territories be properly addressed and the implementation of EU funds be brought closer to beneficiaries and citizens?

The view was expressed that the fallout of the Covid-19 pandemic poses an enormous challenge to the EU territorial cohesion.

European cohesion funds significantly contribute to reducing regional development disparities in the EU and the member states.

Ministers stressed that making the EU as a whole stronger and more resilient will only be effective if no region is left behind.

To achieve sustainable and inclusive economic recovery which supports the green and digital transitions, member states should make the best use of the opportunities provided by the massive financial package of Next Generation EU resources and the 2021-2027 multiannual financial framework.

In this regard, ministers discussed the effective implementation and coordination of the remaining 2014-2020 cohesion funding, the REACT-EU initiative, the Recovery and Resilience Facility, and the new 2021-2027 cohesion policy allocations, including the Just Transition Fund.
Conclusions on San Marino

Ministers also approved conclusions on the inclusion of the Republic of San Marino in the European Union Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR). This is a macro-regional strategy endorsed by the European Council in 2014 and the only strategy with new countries wanting to join it in the past few years.

The European Commission will now amend the strategy to include the Republic of San Marino and submit it to the Council. All member states participating in the EUSAIR particularly welcomed the inclusion of San Marino.


I am very pleased to welcome the Republic of San Marino in the EU Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region. Only with more inclusion and cooperation can the region’s interests and prospects be fully realized. From now on, 10 countries will participate in the Strategy. ΠΡΟΣ ΤΟΝ ΥΠΟΥΡΓΟ ΕΡΓΑΣΙΑΣ κ. ΧΑΤΖΗΔΑΚΗ για άστοχη προϋπόθεση ΜΗ δικαιώματος επιδόματος ανασφάλιστων Υπερηλίκων

ΕΠΙΔΟΜΑ ΑΝΑΣΦΑΛΙΣΤΩΝ ΥΠΕΡΗΛΙΚΩΝ 

Αναγνώστες της Εφημερίδας, μας ζήτησαν να αναφέρουμε το εν θέματι αναφερόμενο,με την ελπίδα να αναγνωστεί απο τον κ. Υπουργό. Αναφέρονται στην εξής προϋπόθεση που δεν δίδει στον ανασφάλιστο υπερήλικο το δικαίωμα είσπραξης του επιδόματος των 360€:

"Εξαιρούνται επίσης οι ανασφάλιστοι υπερήλικες και αυτοί που δεν πληρούν τις προϋποθέσεις συνταξιοδότησης, εφόσον ο/η σύζυγος λαμβάνει σύνταξη από οποιαδήποτε πηγή μεγαλύτερη από την παροχή."

ΕΡΩΤΗΜΑ 1ον:"αν ήταν ασφαλισμένοι....ΘΑ ΕΙΧΑΝ ΑΝΑΓΚΗ ΤΟ ΕΠΙΔΟΜΑ;;"
