Six new regional public-private skills partnerships for Europe’s textile, clothing, leather, and footwear (TCLF) industries have officially been launched on the European Commission website, marking another important step towards strengthening skills development across the industries.
The 6 partnerships were developed with the support of the EU-funded TCLF SkillBridge project, which supports public-private organisations in the work of bringing together industry, education providers, public authorities, trade unions, and other stakeholders to address current and future workforce needs.
Complementing the Erasmus+ Blueprint projects METASKILLS4TCLF and AEQUALIS4TCLF, TCLF SkillBridge is expanding the Large Skills Partnership, the TCLF Skills Alliance, and contributing to the implementation of the Pact for Skills.

The Attica Regional Skills Partnership for the TCLF industries in Greece aims to create a holistic learning environment that strengthens education and hands-on training while helping younger generations recognise career opportunities in the sector. The partnership will work with local, regional and national stakeholders to develop training initiatives that address skills needs, strengthen skills intelligence and promote digital and green skills. It will also support SMEs and designers through hands-on training, mentoring and apprenticeship schemes, while carrying out awareness-raising activities to improve the attractiveness of careers in the TCLF industries.
