Media Registration Opens for Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting in Suzhou
Issued by the APEC SecretariatMedia registration has opened for the 2026 APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting, as preparations advance for a key ministerial platform to address evolving global trade challenges.
The meeting will take place from 20 to 23 May 2026 at the Suzhou Jinji Lake International Convention Centre and will be chaired by China’s Minister of Commerce.
Trade ministers from APEC economies will meet to exchange views and advance cooperation on priorities including strengthening the multilateral trading system, advancing regional economic integration and fostering new drivers of trade and investment.
As a ministerial-level meeting, it is one of APEC’s key forums on trade policy. It builds on discussions held during the Second Senior Officials’ Meeting and a series of technical meetings held in Shanghai, in the lead-up to ministers’ deliberations.
Ahead of the ministerial sessions on 22–23 May, China as the host this year will convene a range of workshops and capacity-building activities from 20 May. These include discussions on electronic bills of lading and green supply chains and investment facilitation.
Journalists and media representatives are invited to apply for accreditation to cover the meeting and its related activities.
