Norway is submitting an enhanced climate target to the UN ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) in Egypt. Norway’s new target is to reduce emissions by at least 55 % by 2030.

Norway raises military readiness

At the advice of the Chief of Defence, the Government has decided to increase the readiness of the Norwegian Armed Forces as of 1 November. This means that Norway will now implement the next phase of its preparedness plans.
