Prague Summit 2022
The first meeting of the European Political Community will bring together leaders from across the continent in a spirit of unity on 6 October 2022 in Prague, ahead of the informal meeting of heads of state or government. A total of 44 countries are on the invitation list.
The European Political Community is a platform for political coordination between European countries across the continent. Its aim is to promote political dialogue and cooperation on issues of common interest in order to strengthen the security, stability and prosperity of the European continent. This platform for political coordination does not replace any existing organisation, structure or process and does not aim to create new ones at this stage.
On 7 October 2022, an informal meeting of the European Council, the so-called informal summit, will take place at Prague Castle. Heads of state and the government will discuss the war in Ukraine, energy, and the economic situation in Europe.
