Δήλωση Ευάγγελου Βενιζέλου σχετικά με  τις αποκαλύψεις της iefimerida και της δημοσιογράφου Δήμητρας Κρουστάλλη για τις καταγγελίες Βγενόπουλου

 

Χρειάστηκε μεγάλος και επίμονος αγώνας για να αντέξει η Δημοκρατία και το Κράτος Δικαίου τη λαίλαπα της περιόδου 2015-2019. Φαίνεται ότι δεν υπήρχε κανένας φραγμός. Αντίθετα,  φαίνεται ότι υπήρχε συναγωνισμός κυκλωμάτων. Από την αποκάλυψη της συνομιλίας αυτής - αποκάλυψη που συνιστά μεγάλη δημοσιογραφική επιτυχία αλλά και δημόσιο καθήκον - προκύπτει, μεταξύ πολλών άλλων, ότι τους απασχολούσε η πολιτική μου αντίδραση και κριτική.  Ευχαριστώ για τα εύσημα και λυπάμαι για το βάθος της δοκιμασίας της Δικαιοσύνης. Η χώρα σώθηκε θεσμικά στο παρά πέντε.

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today issued the following statement on the anniversary of the Roadmap for a Renewed U.S.-Canada Partnership:

“One year ago, Canada and the United States reaffirmed the special nature of our relationship, and our commitment to working closely together in the interests of the collective security and prosperity of our citizens based on the principles of democracy, diversity, and equity. 

The Roadmap for a Renewed U.S.-Canada Partnership guides our work, and lays out an ambitious framework to build a greener, more prosperous future; grow our economies and strengthen the middle class; combat the global COVID-19 pandemic; create safer, more equitable communities; and stand together in the face of threats to democracy.  Defending democracy is at the heart of our commitment to stand with Ukraine in the face of Russia’s unprovoked invasion.  

We have made progress over the past year and laid the foundation to deepen our cooperation on climate change, on supporting the global pandemic response efforts, on enhancing cooperation on the Arctic, and on building the economies of the future, including through work to strengthen bilateral supply chains and cooperation on critical minerals.

Statement by the Prime Minister on Russia’s attack on Ukraine

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today issued the following statement condemning Russia’s attack on Ukraine:

“Canada condemns in the strongest possible terms Russia’s egregious attack on Ukraine. These unprovoked actions are a clear further violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. They are also in violation of Russia’s obligations under international law and the Charter of the United Nations.

“Canada calls on Russia to immediately cease all hostile and provocative actions against Ukraine and withdraw all military and proxy forces from the country. Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity must be respected and the Ukrainian people must be free to determine their own future.

“Russia’s actions will be met with severe consequences. Tomorrow morning, I will be meeting with G7 partners, and we will continue working closely and quickly with NATO and our allies to collectively respond to these reckless and dangerous acts, including by imposing significant sanctions in addition to those already announced.

“In the face of these attacks on Ukraine, Canada will take additional action to stop Russia’s unwarranted aggression. We continue to stand with Ukraine, its people, and the Ukrainian Canadian community here in Canada. Russia’s brazen acts will not go unpunished.”

Canada announces support to address the situation in Ukraine

Canada and Ukraine are steadfast partners and close friends. Alongside its international partners and allies, and in solidarity with the government and people of Ukraine, Canada unequivocally condemns Russia’s decision to recognize the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions in Ukraine. Russia’s action constitutes a brazen violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence, and demonstrates a blatant disregard for international law.

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced that Canada will be imposing new sanctions under the Special Economic Measures (Russia) Regulations and the Special Economic Measures (Ukraine) Regulations. These new measures will:

• Impose restrictions on members of the Russian State Duma who voted for the decision to recognize the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk;
• Impose a dealings ban on the non-government controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk, which will effectively prohibit Canadians from engaging in specific transactions and activities in these regions;
• Place new prohibitions on direct and indirect dealings in Russian sovereign debt; and
• Impose sanctions on two significant Russian financial institutions in order to hinder Russia’s ability to further fund its aggressive actions.

The Prime Minister also announced that Canada will be sending additional military contributions to support North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in the face of rising tensions in the region. These contributions, which fall under Operation REASSURANCE, will strengthen NATO’s deterrence and defence efforts by increasing Canada’s land, maritime, and air capabilities in Europe. Specifically, Canada will provide:

• Up to an additional 460 personnel to the approximately 800 currently deployed in Europe in support of NATO, including:
  • A battery of M777 artillery guns with forward observers and an electronic warfare troop to bolster the Canadian led enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group in Latvia;
  • A second frigate, with an embarked maritime helicopter, to participate in NATO’s Standing Naval Forces; and
  • The re-tasking of a CP-140 Aurora long range patrol aircraft already in the region, which will now operate in the Euro-Atlantic Area under NATO command and control.

In addition, approximately 3,400 Canadian Armed Forces personnel across all branches of the service are authorized to deploy to the NATO Response Force should they be required by NATO.

There is still time for Russia to choose de-escalation and diplomacy, but the window to do so is closing. These measures will apply further pressure on Russian leadership and extend greater support to our allies and partners. Canada will continue working with our allies and partners to impose additional hard-hitting economic measures that will inflict severe costs on Russia if it does not cease its unacceptable aggression against Ukraine. These actions demonstrate Canada’s steadfast support for Ukraine’s sovereignty. The people of Ukraine have the right to decide their own future and live free and without fear.

• In response to Russia’s threats and military build-up in and around Ukraine in recent weeks, the Government of Canada invested in additional support for Ukraine. This includes through the extension and expansion of Operation UNIFIER, the Canadian Armed Forces’ military training and capacity-building mission in Ukraine, up to $620 million in loans, and the provision of up to $10 million in lethal and non-lethal equipment and ammunition.
• Since Russia’s attempted annexation and illegal occupation of Crimea in 2014, Canada has sanctioned more than 440 individuals and entities, with many of these sanctions undertaken in coordination with our allies and partners. Canada’s sanctions impose asset freezes and dealings prohibitions on listed persons.
• As part of NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence, Canada has assumed a leadership role as one of four Framework Nations and is leading a robust multinational NATO enhanced Forward Presence battle group in Latvia. IRCC is also increasing operational capacity in the region and has enacted priority-processing of applications for proof of citizenship, permanent residence, and temporary residence, including study and work permits, for Ukrainian nationals who want to study, work, reunite with family, or start a new life in Canada.

Le Canada et l’Ukraine sont des partenaires solides et de proches amis. Aux côtés de ses partenaires et alliés internationaux, et en solidarité avec le gouvernement et le peuple ukrainiens, le Canada condamne sans équivoque la décision de la Russie de reconnaître l’indépendance des régions de Donetsk et de Luhansk en Ukraine. Cette action de la Russie constitue une violation éhontée de la souveraineté, de l’intégrité territoriale et de l’indépendance de l’Ukraine et témoigne de son mépris flagrant à l’égard du droit international.

Le premier ministre Justin Trudeau a annoncé aujourd’hui que le Canada imposera de nouvelles sanctions en vertu du Règlement sur les mesures économiques spéciales visant la Russie et du Règlement sur les mesures économiques spéciales visant l’Ukraine. Ces nouvelles mesures prévoient :

• des restrictions contre les membres de la Douma russe qui ont voté en faveur de la décision de reconnaître l’indépendance de Donetsk et de Luhansk;

Le premier ministre a également annoncé que le Canada apportera d’autres contributions militaires pour soutenir les opérations de l’Organisation du Traité de l’Atlantique Nord (OTAN) face à la montée des tensions dans la région. Ces contributions, qui s’inscrivent dans le cadre de l’opération REASSURANCE, permettront de renforcer les efforts de dissuasion et de défense de l’OTAN en augmentant les capacités terrestres, maritimes et aériennes du Canada en Europe. Plus précisément, le Canada va :

Il est encore possible pour la Russie de désamorcer la situation et de choisir la diplomatie, mais le temps commence à manquer. Ces mesures permettront d’exercer une pression supplémentaire sur les dirigeants russes et d’apporter un soutien accru à nos alliés et partenaires. Le Canada continuera de travailler avec ses alliés et ses partenaires pour imposer d’autres mesures économiques rigoureuses qui auront de lourdes conséquences pour la Russie si elle ne met pas fin à son agression inacceptable contre l’Ukraine. Ces mesures démontrent le soutien indéfectible du Canada à la souveraineté de l’Ukraine. Les Ukrainiens ont le droit de décider de leur avenir et de vivre libres et sans crainte.

Σας προσκαλούμε σε σεμινάριο, μέσω τηλεδιάσκεψης, που διοργανώνουν η Αρχή Προστασίας Δεδομένων και το Πανεπιστήμιο Πειραιώς, κατά το οποίο θα πραγματοποιηθεί εκπαίδευση σε θέματα που αφορούν στην προστασία προσωπικών δεδομένων και έχουν αναδειχθεί ως ενδιαφέροντα για τις μικρομεσαίες επιχειρήσεις κατά την πρώτη φάση του έργου «Διευκόλυνση της συμμόρφωσης μικρομεσαίων επιχειρήσεων με τον GDPR και προώθηση της προστασίας δεδομένων από τον σχεδιασμό σε προϊόντα και υπηρεσίες ΤΠΕ (https://bydesign-project.eu/).

Το σεμινάριο απευθύνεται σε διοικητικά στελέχη και αναλυτές/σχεδιαστές πληροφοριακών συστημάτων, καθώς και σε στελέχη του οργανισμού που εμπλέκονται στη συμμόρφωση με τον Γενικό Κανονισμό Προστασίας Δεδομένων. Οι βασικές θεματικές ενότητες του σεμιναρίου αφορούν σε:
Εισαγωγή στην ορολογία για την προστασία προσωπικών δεδομένων
Οργανωτική δομή και ρόλοι για τη συμμόρφωση με τον Γενικό Κανονισμό Προστασίας Δεδομένων
Εκτίμηση αντικτύπου σχετικά με την προστασία των δεδομένων
Προστασία δεδομένων από τον σχεδιασμό και εξ ορισμού
Διαχείριση περιστατικών παραβίασης δεδομένων
Πολιτικές ιδιωτικότητας
Λογισμικό καταγραφής ενεργειών (cookies, trackers) κατά την προώθηση/διαφήμιση προϊόντων

Το σεμινάριο θα επαναληφθεί επτά φορές με μέγιστο αριθμό πενήντα (50) συμμετεχόντων ανά σεμινάριο. During the visit, which began February 17, Supreme President Kokotas has overseen the initiation of several new candidates into the Order. He also has met with officers representing chapters located in Athens, Volos, Larissa, Lamia, Katerini, and Velestino. Supreme Governor Region 10 Yannis Mitropoulos and Hellas District 25 Governor Kostas Varsamis have accompanied the supreme president. Congratulations to all the new initiates.
