Δήλωση του Πρωθυπουργού Κυριάκου Μητσοτάκη στις εορταστικές εκδηλώσεις στην Τήνο για την Κοίμηση της Θεοτόκου και για την επέτειο του τορπιλισμού του καταδρομικού «Έλλη»
Στις εορταστικές εκδηλώσεις στην Τήνο για την Κοίμηση της Θεοτόκου και για την επέτειο του τορπιλισμού του καταδρομικού «Έλλη», παρέστη ο Πρωθυπουργός Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης.
Συνοδευόμενος από τον υπουργό Άμυνας, Νίκο Παναγιωτόπουλο και τον Αρχηγό ΓΕΕΘΑ, Στρατηγό Κωνσταντίνο Φλώρο, ο κ. Μητσοτάκης επιβιβάστηκε στην πυραυλάκατο (ΤΠΚ) «Μυκόνιος» του Πολεμικού Ναυτικού για την επιμνημόσυνο δέηση στο σημείο που βυθίστηκε το «Έλλη», όπου έριξε στεφάνι στη θάλασσα για να τιμήσει τους άνδρες του καταδρομικού που έδωσαν τη ζωή τους για την πατρίδα.
Στη συνέχεια ο Πρωθυπουργός παρακολούθησε τη Θεία Λειτουργία στον Ιερό Ναό της Ευαγγελιστρίας και ακολούθησε τη λιτάνευση της Ιεράς Εικόνας της Μεγαλόχαρης μέχρι το λιμάνι του νησιού. Μετά το τέλος των εορταστικών εκδηλώσεων ο κ. Μητσοτάκης, αφού συνομίλησε με τους πολίτες στη χώρα της Τήνου, έκανε την ακόλουθη δήλωση:
«Από τα πιο μικρά και απομονωμένα ξωκλήσια μέχρι τα μεγάλα προσκυνήματα της εκκλησίας μας η Ελλάδα, η Ορθοδοξία, γιορτάζουμε σήμερα την Κοίμηση της Θεοτόκου. Αντλούμε δύναμη και πίστη για να μπορέσουμε ατομικά αλλά και συλλογικά να ξεπεράσουμε τις μεγάλες δυσκολίες και να βαδίσουμε στο δρόμο της προόδου, στο δρόμο της αυτοπεποίθησης, στο δρόμο της κοινωνικής συνοχής. Αυτήν την σπουδαία μέρα για την Ορθοδοξία το μεγάλο ζητούμενο για τη χώρα μας παραμένει η ενότητα και η προσήλωση στους στόχους του μέλλοντος. Να σταθούμε δίπλα σε όσες και σε όσους έχουν μεγαλύτερη ανάγκη για να μπορέσουμε να ξεπεράσουμε αυτές τις μεγάλες δυσκολίες και με πίστη θα παραμείνουμε πιστοί στο δρόμο τον οποίον έχουμε χαράξει για μία Ελλάδα της ευημερίας, της αυτοπεποίθησης, της κοινωνικής συνοχής. In 2021, our member organisation Jugendpresse Deutschland launched an inclusive and participatory event format for young media enthusiasts between the ages of 16 and 27 who want to improve their media skills, inform themselves about entry-level career opportunities and discuss current social, political and media topics: The Youth Media Convention (YouMeCon). This year’s YouMeCon will take place in Hamburg, Germany from 27 to 30 October 2022. Under the title “Media. Power. Future.”, young media makers can follow three panels, each dedicated to one of the three keywords of the motto. The diverse program of YouMeCon is conducted in German (we recommend to have a German level of at least B2) and once again includes varied workshops, media tours, storytelling cafés, a trade fair with information booths, an exhibition and a full evening’s entertainment. Open spaces and time slots throughout the days will ensure lots of networking opportunities and knowledge exchange. You can find more information and a link to buy early bird tickets here.
Professional journalists and young media makers who have good ideas for cross-border investigations and for research on European stories can apply for funding from the journalismfund.euplatform.

Thirteen young scientists from the 21 APEC member economies have been nominated for this year’s APEC Science Prize for Innovation, Research and Education, or ASPIRE.
With this year’s theme of “Innovation to achieve economic, environmental, and social goals,” the prize aims to advance the integration of a bio-circular-green economy model with APEC members, as well as environmental, social and governance practices and responsible business conduct in the private sector—all of which align with APEC 2022 priorities of sustainability through renewable energy.
Young scientists nominated for ASPIRE also foster regional cooperation by collaborating with peers across APEC to advance scientific research and education in the region.
“The research conducted by these young scientists underscores how vital it is to highlight biological advances, promote sustainability and strengthen agricultural systems," said Xuemei Yang, Chair of the APEC Policy Partnership for Science, Technology, and Innovation, which administers the annual prise.
“The ASPIRE provides a platform to highlight scientific research critical to envisioning a global sustainable future. From combatting the plastics crisis to promoting smart environmental monitoring, this year’s nominees are truly making their marks by trying to change the world for the better,” Yang added.
The winner of the 2022 ASPIRE will be announced at an in-person award ceremony in Chiang Mai, Thailand, next week and will be awarded USD 25,000 supported by publishers of scholarly scientific knowledge, Wiley and Elsevier.
Work conducted by the 2022 nominees includes studies related to air pollution formation and its health impacts; microbial biotechnology for the recovery of clean water, renewable energy, and renewable materials; and the defense of human barrier organs against bacterial and viral infection.
“The brilliant work of these promising young scientists from across the APEC region lights the pathway to a more prosperous, sustainable and equitable future," said Brian Napack, Wiley’s President and Chief Executive Officer.
“We are inspired by the work of these young scientists, who are part of the new generation of leaders,” added Youngsuk “Y.S.” Chi, Chairman of Elsevier. “Their outstanding research will help us find real-world solutions for the critical environmental, social and economic transformation of society. We must continue to encourage this kind of cooperation among APEC economies to effect change for a better future.”
Since its establishment in 2011, the ASPIRE has recognized young scientists working on issues ranging from natural laboratories, food security, sustainable ocean development, biodiversity, strengthening international science and technology networks and promoting innovation.

The Norwegian Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion invites to a Nordic digital seminar 15th September on inclusion of young people in work, education and society. The seminar is part of the Norwegian presidency programme for the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2022.

Fourteen years ago today, Russia invaded the sovereign nation of Georgia. As we have done since 2008, we remember those killed and injured by Russian forces. For decades, the citizens of Georgia in Abkhazia and South Ossetia have lived under Russian occupation and tens of thousands have been displaced, persecuted, and impoverished. Lives and livelihoods have been taken from them.
This year, Russia’s unprovoked further invasion of Ukraine underscores the need for the people of Georgia and Ukraine to stand together in solidarity. The people of Georgia know all too well how Russia’s aggressive actions, including disinformation, so-called “borderization,” and mass displacement cause untold hardships and destruction.
Russia must be accountable to the commitments it made under the 2008 ceasefire – withdrawing its forces to pre-conflict positions and allowing unfettered access for the delivery of humanitarian assistance. It also must reverse its recognition of Georgia’s Abkhazia and South Ossetia regions. This is essential for hundreds of thousands of internally displaced persons to be able to return to their homes safely and with dignity.
We remain steadfast in our support for the people of Georgia as they seek to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity and find a peaceful solution to the conflict.
Special Advisor on International Disability Rights Minkara’s Travel to Romania and Moldova
The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced that the Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, will visit Montréal, Quebec, Toronto, Ontario, and Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador, from August 21 to 23, 2022.
Prime Minister Trudeau will meet with Chancellor Scholz in Montréal to advance our shared priorities, including our unwavering support for Ukraine, protecting peace and security in Europe and around the world, and addressing the broader global impacts of Russia’s illegal and unjustifiable invasion. The leaders will also continue collaboration on ways the two countries can work together to safeguard energy security, and accelerate the global transition to clean energy, including through secure access to key resources like clean hydrogen and critical minerals. They will discuss taking strong climate action through policies like pollution pricing, and advancing the Canada-Germany trade relationship to benefit everyone and grow the middle class in both countries, including through the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), bolstering science and innovation relations, and attracting investments, including in sectors like automotive and electric vehicle manufacturing, hydrogen and clean energy, and bio manufacturing and life sciences.
While in Montréal, Prime Minister Trudeau and Chancellor Scholz will participate in a networking luncheon with German and Canadian business representatives to encourage investment and partnership opportunities, including in the critical minerals and automotive sectors. The leaders will then tour Mila, one of the three National Artificial Intelligence Institutes funded by the government’s Pan-Canadian Artificial Intelligence Strategy to showcase Canada’s advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and highlight Canada and Germany’s cooperation to advance the responsible development and use of AI.
Prime Minister Trudeau will then travel to Toronto, where on August 23, the eve of the Ukrainian Independence Day, he will participate in the virtual Summit for Heads of State and Government of the International Crimea Platform. Canada is an active supporter and participant of the International Crimea Platform, an initiative launched by Ukraine to enhance international advocacy and responses to Russia’s illegal annexation of Crimea. The Platform has much deeper implications this year in the face of Russia’s illegal and unjustifiable invasion of Ukraine.
While in Toronto, Prime Minister Trudeau will also speak at the Canada-Germany Business Forum to promote greater cooperation between the two countries in response to current global challenges, particularly energy security and climate change.
The two leaders will then travel to Stephenville, Newfoundland, to visit a hydrogen trade show where they will have the opportunity to speak to experts and view a variety of clean hydrogen projects, technologies, and services. Canada and Germany have a long history of collaborating to advance the development of a clean economy and this visit will be an opportunity to formally deepen this collaboration. Canadian and German researchers have been at the forefront of advancing clean hydrogen technologies with Canadian companies deploying their technologies in the German market and German companies investing in growing manufacturing capabilities in Canada.

Canada and Germany benefit from their strong cultural connections and people-to-people ties. Almost 10 per cent of Canadians claim at least partial German ancestry and about 400,000 Canadians travel to Germany each year. A similar number of people travel from Germany to Canada each year.
Every year, several thousand German students spend a term or full year at a Canadian college, university, or high school. Thousands more young Germans and Canadians travel in each direction for short-term study and research or work as part of the International Experience Canada program.
Germany is one of Canada’s most important sources of innovative, research, and engineering-intensive investment, with over 820 affiliates operating in Canada, employing nearly 70,000 Canadians. Germany is the 7th largest source of foreign direct investments into Canada.
Germany is Canada’s largest merchandise export market in the European Union, and its sixth-largest trading partner globally, with two-way merchandise trade totalling $25.9 billion in 2021.
Canadian exports to Germany were worth $6.9 billion in 2021, while Canada’s imports from Germany totalled $19.0 billion. Sectors of interest include aerospace, advanced manufacturing, automotive, life sciences, information and communications technologies, and agri-food. Canada’s top merchandise exports include precious stones, machinery, mineral ores, scientific and precision instruments, electrical and electronic machinery and equipment, and inorganic chemicals.
Investments in Canada by companies like Germany’s BASF for battery manufacturing demonstrate the strong and growing potential for collaboration in the clean technology space.
In March 2022, and again in May 2022, Prime Minister Trudeau and Chancellor Scholz agreed to work together to advance adoption and expansion of carbon pricing around the world through Canada’s Global Carbon Pricing Challenge and Germany’s Climate Club. In May 2022, both Germany and Canada signed onto the G7 Hydrogen Action Pact.
Long-standing partners in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Canada and Germany cooperate closely on security and defence issues, and are also both members of the G7 and G20, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Canada and Germany are doing their part to contribute to NATO operations and activities along NATO’s eastern flank, in particular through their leadership of NATO Enhanced Forward Presence battle groups in Latvia and Lithuania, respectively.

Ευχές Περιφερειάρχη Κρήτης για το Πάσχα Το Πάσχα φέρνει στις καρδιές μας το μήνυμα της ζωής που νικά τον θάνατο. Φέτος, η σκέψη μας στρέφεται αναπόφευκτα στους συνανθρώπους μας που δοκιμάζονται από τη δίνη του πολέμου. Οι ευχές μας ενώνονται με όλο τον κόσμο που ζητά να σωπάσουν τα όπλα και να επικρατήσει η ειρήνη. Εύχομαι το Αναστάσιμο Φως να λάμπει στις καρδιές όλων των Κρητικών, όπου γης, χαρίζοντας υγεία, προκοπή και την ελπίδα για ένα αύριο δίχως συγκρούσεις. Χρόνια Πολλά! Καλή Ανάσταση! Καλό Πάσχα!

«Ανάσταση σημαίνει νίκη της Αγάπης, της Αλληλεγγύης, της Ανθρωπιάς. Ανάσταση σημαίνει νίκη της Ζωής, νίκη του Καλού απέναντι στο κακό, νίκη του Δικαίου απέναντι στο άδικο, νίκη του Φωτός απέναντι στο σκοτάδι. Σε αυτήν την πολύ δύσκολη περίοδο που ζούμε και στη χώρα μας και σε όλο τον κόσμο, είναι σημαντικό να κρατήσουμε ζωντανή την Αγάπη μας για τον Άνθρωπο, την Αλληλεγγύη μας στους συνανθρώπους μας, το πείσμα μας να επικρατήσει το Δίκαιο, την αγωνιστικότητά μας, τη διαύγεια πνεύματός μας και τη διαρκή προσπάθεια να φτιάξουμε έναν κόσμο καλύτερο, τέτοιο που τον αξίζουμε. Αυτές τις μέρες, ας είμαστε κοντά στους ανθρώπους που το έχουν ανάγκη και ας σκεφτόμαστε τα θύματα πολέμου, γενοκτονίας, τον άμαχο πληθυσμό που βρίσκεται απροστάτευτος, τους ανθρώπους που παλεύουν απέναντι στην αδικία, γιατί και η Ανάσταση ήταν και είναι μία Νίκη απέναντι στην αδικία. Εύχομαι καλή δύναμη, καλή Ανάσταση σε όλες και όλους, καλή μας πορεία, για μια ζωή χωρίς αδικία, χωρίς κακότητα, χωρίς πόλεμο για μια ζωή τέτοια που την αξίζουμε. Χρόνια πολλά! Καλό Πάσχα!»

Tι ήταν η ΕΦΗΜΕΡΙΔΑ «ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΗ»..για όσους δεν γνωρίζουν.
Η «ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΗ» γεννήθηκε το 2000,ως συνέχεια του Περιοδικού «ΑΧΑΡΝΕΩΝ Έργα». Δημιουργήθηκε από Επαγγελματίες Εκδότες με δεκαετίες στον τομέα της Διαφήμισης, των Εκδόσεων και των Δημοσίων Σχέσεων και αρχικά ήταν μια Υπερτοπική Εφημερίδα με κύριο αντικείμενο το Αυτοδιοικητικό Ρεπορτάζ.
Επί χρόνια, κυκλοφορούσε την έντυπη έκδοσή της σε ένα ικανότατο τιράζ (5000 καλαίσθητων φύλλων εβδομαδιαίως) και εντυπωσίαζε με την ποιότητα της εμφάνισης και το ουσιώδες, μαχητικό και έντιμο περιεχόμενο της.
Η δύναμη της Πένας της Εφημερίδας, η Ειλικρίνεια, οι Ερευνές της που έφερναν πάντα ουσιαστικό αποτέλεσμα ενημέρωσης, την έφεραν πολύ γρήγορα πρώτη στην προτίμηση των αναγνωστών και γρήγορα εξελίχθηκε σε Εφημερίδα Γνώμης και όχι μόνον για την Περιφέρεια στην οποία κυκλοφορούσε.
=Επι είκοσι έξι (26) χρόνια, στηρίζει τον Απόδημο Ελληνισμό, χωρίς καμία-ούτε την παραμικρή- διακοπή

=Επί είκοσι έξι ολόκληρα χρόνια, προβάλλει με αίσθηση καθήκοντος κάθε ξεχωριστό, έντιμο και υπεύθυνο Πολιτικό της Πολιτικής Σκηνής. Στις σελίδες της, θα βρείτε ακόμα και σήμερα μόνο άξιες και χρήσιμες Πολιτικές Προσωπικότητες αλλά και ενημέρωση από κάθε Κόμμα της Ελληνικής Βουλής. Η «ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΗ» ουδέποτε διαχώρησε τους αναγνώστες της ανάλογα με τα πολιτικά τους πιστεύω. Επραττε το καθήκον της, ενημερώνοντας όλους τους Ελληνες, ως όφειλε.
=Επί είκοσι έξι ολόκληρα χρόνια, δίνει βήμα στους αδέσμευτους, τους επιτυχημένους, τους γνώστες και θιασώτες της Αλήθειας. Στηρίζει τον Θεσμό της Ελληνικής Οικογένειας, την Παιδεία, την Ελληνική Ιστορία, προβάλλει με όλες της τις δυνάμεις τους Αδελφούς μας απανταχού της Γης, ενημερώνει για τα επιτεύγματα της Επιστήμης, της Επιχειρηματικότητας και πολλά άλλα που πολύ καλά γνωρίζουν οι Αναγνώστες της.
=Επί είκοσι έξι ολόκληρα χρόνια, ο απλός δημότης–πολίτης, φιλοξενείται στις σελίδες της με μόνη προϋπόθεση την ειλικρινή και αντικειμενική γραφή και την ελεύθερη Γνώμη, η οποία ΟΥΔΕΠΟΤΕ λογοκρίθηκε.
Η ΕΦΗΜΕΡΙΔΑ «ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΗ», είναι ένα βήμα Ισονομίας και Ισοπολιτείας, έννοιες απόλυτα επιθυμητές, ιδιαιτέρως στις ημέρες μας. Είναι ο δικτυακός τόπος της έκφρασης του πολίτη και της εποικοδομητικής κριτικής, μακριά από κάθε στήριξη αφού ΟΥΔΕΠΟΤΕ ετύγχανε οικονομικής υποστήριξης από Δήμους, Κυβερνήσεις ή όποιους άλλους Δημόσιους ή Ιδιωτικούς Φορείς, δεν είχε ΠΟΤΕ χορηγούς, ή οποιασδήποτε μορφής υποστηρικτές. Απολαμβάνει όμως Διεθνούς σεβασμού αφού φιλοξενεί ενημέρωση από αρκετά ξένα Κράτη πράγμα που της περιποιεί βεβαίως, μέγιστη τιμή.
Η ΕΦΗΜΕΡΙΔΑ «ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΗ» διαγράφει απο την γέννησή της μια αξιοζήλευτη πορεία και απέκτησε εξ αιτίας αυτού,ΜΕΓΙΣΤΗ αναγνωσιμότητα.
Η Εφημερίδα «ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΗ» κέρδισε την αποδοχή και τον σεβασμό που της ανήκει, με «εξετάσεις» εικοσι έξι ολόκληρων ετών, με συνεχείς αιματηρούς αγώνες κατά της τοπικής διαπλοκής, με αγώνα επιβίωσης σε πολύ δύσκολους καιρούς, με Εντιμότητα, αίσθηση Καθήκοντος και Ευθύνης.
