AXAΡΝΕΣ:Ερώτηση Δημοτικού Συμβούλου κ. Δ.Δαμάσκου περί αναγγελθείσης πλην ουδέποτε εφαρμοσθείσης απόφασης πλήρους απαλλαγής επιχειρήσεων απο την καταβολή Δ.Τ.

Αγαπητοί φίλοι και φίλες, πέρασαν 13 μήνες από το πρώτο ψήφισμα του Δημοτικού Συμβουλίου Αχαρνών και 5 μήνες από το δεύτερο που αποφάσισε την πλήρη απαλλαγή των επιχειρήσεων που διακόπτουν τη λειτουργία τους λόγω των μέτρων αποτροπής διασποράς του Κορωνοϊού Covid-19 από την καταβολή των δημοτικών τελών καθαριότητας και ηλεκτροφωτισμού, καθώς επίσης και την καταβολή του τέλους 0,5% επί των ακαθάριστων εσόδων.
Δυστυχώς μέχρι σήμερα, και παρότι είδαμε πληθώρα αναρτήσεων για το συγκεκριμένο θέμα στα social media και στην σελίδα του Δήμου Αχαρνών, στην πράξη δεν έχει γίνει απολύτως τίποτα.
Την Παρασκευή 16/04/21 έστειλα επιστολή/ερώτηση για το συγκεκριμένο θέμα, η οποία και κοινοποιήθηκε σε όλο το Δημοτικό Συμβούλιο με αριθμό πρωτοκόλλου 13693. Μόλις λάβω επίσημη απάντηση για το πότε θα εφαρμοστεί η απόφαση του Δημοτικού Συμβουλίου, θα ενημερώσω όλους τους φίλους και συναδέλφους που με ρωτάνε συνέχεια για το συγκεκριμένο θέμα.

Όπως γνωρίζεις, οι ζημιές που προκλήθηκαν σε περιοχές της χώρας μας και ειδικότερα στη Μακεδονία και στη Θεσσαλία από τον παγετό στα τέλη της προηγούμενης εβδομάδας είναι τεράστιες – συνέπεια της κλιματικής αλλαγής, κάτι που είχαμε προβλέψει από το 2014 και είχαμε καταρτίσει το Μέτρο Μ17 με τα 200 εκατομμύρια για την ισχυροποίηση του ΕΛΓΑ…

Πρόκειται για μια πρωτόγνωρη για την ελληνική αγροτική παραγωγή καταστροφή που ¨έκαψε¨ χιλιάδες εκτάρια δενδροκαλλιεργειών και κηπευτικών, συνέχεια εκείνων των θεομηνιών που εμφανίστηκαν τα τελευταία τρία τέσσερα χρόνια. Ο ΕΛΓΑ ασφαλώς δεν μπορεί να σηκώσει ένα τέτοιο οικονομικό βάρος, με δεδομένη μάλιστα τη δημοσιονομική κατάσταση λόγω της πανδημίας.

Γι’ αυτό προτείνω Υπουργέ μου, να θέσεις εμφαντικά το θέμα στο Συμβούλιο Υπουργών Γεωργίας στις Βρυξέλλες στις 26 Απριλίου, εντάσσοντάς το στα ¨διάφορα¨ της ημερήσιας διάταξης των θεμάτων που θα συζητηθούν, ώστε μέσα από το ταμείο Διαχείρισης Κρίσεων να μπορέσουμε να διεκδικήσουμε τα αναγκαία κονδύλια για τη στήριξη του εισοδήματος των πληγέντων. Επιπλέον θα μπορούσες να ζητήσεις την έγκριση της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής ώστε να χρησιμοποιηθούν αναξιοποίητα κονδύλια από το ΠΑΑ 2014-2020 για τη στήριξη των παραγωγών μας λόγω των συνεπειών της κλιματικής αλλαγής.
Επειδή δε και άλλα κράτη – μέλη αντιμετώπισαν πρόσφατα παρόμοια προβλήματα, καλό θα είναι τα μέτρα που ζητάμε, να τα προτείνεις σε συνεργασία με τους ομολόγους σου αυτών των κρατών, ειδικότερα της Γαλλίας, Ιταλίας και Ισπανίας ή και άλλων χωρών που προσφάτως αντιμετώπισαν παρόμοιες καταστροφές.

 Additional support for Ontario to fight the COVID-19 outbreak

Ottawa, Ontario

Since the start of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Government of Canada has been working to do whatever it takes – for as long as it takes – to protect and support Canadians. As the number of new cases in Ontario continues to escalate to unprecedented levels due to variants of concern, we are working with the Province to protect the health and safety of Ontarians and support the capacity of our health care system.

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced that the federal government is working to provide additional, emergency support to fight the COVID-19 outbreak in Ontario.

This includes:

• Sending federal health care staff and equipment to the front lines in Ontario to care for people across the province, particularly in areas that are most impacted.
• Boosting rapid testing to help stop the spread of the virus, and working with municipalities and businesses to deploy them to hot spots across Ontario, support contact tracing and isolation, and make workplaces safer.
• Investing $84.2 million to support voluntary safe isolation sites, including across Ontario. These sites have already helped 3,900 Ontarians isolate safely to prevent the spread of the virus.
• Signing a bilateral agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario to enhance virtual health services in the province. This agreement comes with $46 million in funding to expand Ontario’s efforts on virtual health care during the pandemic.
• Providing an additional supply of tocilizumab and other needed drugs for Ontario through reallocation from other provinces and territories. Tocilizumab is used to treat severe pneumonia in COVID-19 patients.

These measures build on yesterday’s announcement that the federal government is providing a two-month extension on two Mobile Health Units (MHU), until June 30. These MHU were approved in January and are currently deployed in Toronto and Hamilton. The federal government also stands ready to deploy the Canadian Red Cross to help the province with its mobile vaccination teams, and the Canadian Armed Forces is working with partners to determine what additional support they can provide to Ontario.

The Government of Canada is also working closely with provinces and territories to facilitate extra support for Ontario, including sending medical supplies and health care workers, and has offered to cover the costs.

Eight of every ten dollars spent in Canada to respond to the pandemic have come from the federal government. This has included support through the purchase of vaccines, personal protective equipment, rapid testing, contact tracing, and funding to help make schools safer for students and teachers. We will continue to provide the provinces and territories support and take a Team Canada approach to beating this virus, so we can keep all Canadians safe and healthy.

• On April 17, in response to the rapidly rising numbers of COVID-19 cases across Ontario, the Prime Minister spoke to the Honourable Andrew Furey, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, the Honourable Dennis King, Premier of Prince Edward Island, and the Honourable Iain Rankin, Premier of Nova Scotia. They spoke about how they can work together to help support Ontarians get through the current situation.
• The federal government’s support includes the deployment of essential biomedical equipment, including Cardiohelp systems, AirVo oxygen units, high flow nasal oxygen devices, and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation machines.
• On July 16, 2020, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister announced an agreement to safely restart the economy that involved over $19 billion in funding from the federal government. The Safe Restart Agreement focused on measures over six to eight months to restart the economy while protecting the health of Canadians.
• This funding has supported the provinces and territories in their response to COVID-19, including for the following priorities:
  • Testing, contact tracing, and data management
  • Health care capacity, including mental health and substance use

• On April 6, 2021, the government delivered the final instalment of $700 million through the Safe Restart Agreement to help provinces and territories to further increase their testing capacity.
• On March 25, 2021, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance introduced Bill C-25, which would provide an additional $7.2 billion in support to provinces, territories, municipalities, and Indigenous communities for urgent health care needs, the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, and local infrastructure projects

Soutien additionnel accordé à l’Ontario pour lutter contre l’éclosion de COVID-19

Depuis le début de la pandémie mondiale de COVID-19, le gouvernement du Canada s’est engagé à faire tout ce qu’il faut, aussi longtemps qu’il le faudra, pour protéger et soutenir les Canadiens. Alors que le nombre de nouveaux cas en Ontario continue d’atteindre des niveaux sans précédent en raison des variants préoccupants, nous travaillons avec la province pour assurer la santé et la sécurité des Ontariens et soutenir la capacité de notre système de soins de santé.

Le premier ministre Justin Trudeau a annoncé aujourd’hui que le gouvernement fédéral prend des mesures pour fournir un soutien d’urgence supplémentaire afin de lutter contre l’éclosion de COVID‑19 en Ontario.

Il s’agit notamment de :

• Déployer des professionnels de la santé et de l’équipement du gouvernement fédéral aux premières lignes en Ontario afin d’offrir des soins aux gens de la province, en particulier dans les régions les plus durement touchées.
• Renforcer la capacité de dépistage rapide pour aider à freiner la propagation du virus, et travailler avec les municipalités et les entreprises pour expédier les tests de dépistage aux points chauds en Ontario, faciliter la recherche des contacts et l’isolement et rendre les milieux de travail plus sécuritaires.
• Effectuer un investissement de 84,2 millions de dollars pour appuyer les sites sûrs d’isolement volontaire, y compris à l’échelle de l’Ontario. Ces sites ont déjà aidé quelque 3 900 Ontariens à s’isoler en sécurité pour prévenir la propagation du virus.
• Signer un accord bilatéral entre le gouvernement du Canada et le gouvernement de l’Ontario pour améliorer les services de santé virtuels offerts dans la province. Le déploiement de ces unités a été approuvé en janvier, et celles-ci se trouvent actuellement à Toronto et à Hamilton. Le gouvernement fédéral est également prêt à déployer des équipes de vaccination mobiles de la Croix-Rouge canadienne pour aider la province, et les Forces armées canadiennes travaillent actuellement avec des partenaires pour déterminer quel autre soutien elles peuvent apporter à l’Ontario.

De plus, le gouvernement du Canada travaille en étroite collaboration avec les provinces et les territoires en vue de fournir un soutien supplémentaire à l’Ontario, notamment en y déployant des travailleurs de la santé et en lui envoyant des fournitures médicales. Il a également offert de couvrir les coûts associés à ces démarches.

Le gouvernement fédéral a fourni 80 % de l’argent dépensé au Canada pour lutter contre la pandémie. Cette contribution a permis d’acheter des vaccins, d’obtenir de l’équipement de protection individuelle et des tests de dépistage rapide, de recruter des agents de recherche des contacts et de fournir un financement pour aider à rendre les écoles plus sûres pour les élèves et les enseignants. Nous continuerons d’apporter un soutien aux provinces et aux territoires et de mettre en œuvre une approche pancanadienne pour vaincre ce virus et assurer la santé et la sécurité de tous les Canadiens.

• Le 17 avril, en réponse à la hausse rapide du nombre de cas de COVID-19 en Ontario, le premier ministre Trudeau s’est entretenu avec l’honorable Andrew Furey, premier ministre de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, l’honorable Dennis King, premier ministre de l’Île-du-Prince-Édouard, et l’honorable Iain Rankin, premier ministre de la Nouvelle-Écosse. Ils ont discuté de la façon dont ils peuvent travailler ensemble pour aider les Ontariens à traverser la situation actuelle.

• Ce financement a aidé les provinces et les territoires à faire face à la COVID-19, notamment dans les domaines prioritaires suivants :
  • Dépistage, recherche des contacts et gestion des données
  • Capacité des systèmes de santé, y compris la santé mentale et la consommation de substances
  • Protection des populations vulnérables, y compris les aînés 
  • Obtention d’équipement de protection individuelle
• Le 6 avril 2021, le gouvernement a effectué le dernier versement de 700 millions de dollars par l’intermédiaire de l’Accord sur la relance sécuritaire pour aider les provinces et les territoires à accroître davantage leur capacité de dépistage.
• Le 25 mars 2021, la vice-première ministre et ministre des Finances a présenté le projet de loi C-25, qui prévoit un soutien supplémentaire de 7,2 milliards de dollars aux provinces, aux territoires, aux municipalités et aux communautés autochtones pour les besoins urgents en matière de soins de santé, le déploiement des vaccins contre la COVID-19 et des projets d’infrastructure locaux.

“During National Volunteer Week, we recognize and thank the many Canadians who give back and make a difference in the lives of others. By contributing their time and efforts, they are changing lives, helping to build stronger communities, and to make tomorrow better than today.

“This year’s theme, ‘The Value of One, The Power of Many’, highlights the importance of our individual actions, as well as our collective strength. Over the last year, we have seen Canadians from coast to coast to coast support each other through volunteer work. Some delivered groceries and medicine to neighbours, others drove seniors and people with disabilities to appointments, and many raised money and gathered resources for community initiatives.

“As people across the country continue to fight and deal with the impacts of the global COVID-19 pandemic, we are putting a spotlight on exceptional individuals and organizations that have received Canada’s Volunteer Awards. We look forward to announcing the next group of recipients in the fall of 2021. Volunteers often receive little recognition for their tireless service, and by acknowledging and celebrating their efforts across the country, we can promote the values of community and civic engagement.

« Pendant la Semaine nationale de l'action bénévole, nous reconnaissons et remercions les nombreux Canadiens qui redonnent à leur communauté et améliorent la vie des autres. Ils font don de leur temps et déploient des efforts pour changer la vie des autres, aider à bâtir des communautés plus fortes et forger un avenir meilleur.

« Le thème de cette année, « La valeur de chacun, la force du nombre », met en relief l'importance de nos actions individuelles ainsi que celle de notre force collective. Au cours de la dernière année, nous avons vu des Canadiens d'un océan à l'autre faire du bénévolat pour venir en aide aux autres. Certains ont livré des produits d'épicerie et des médicaments à leurs voisins, d'autres ont conduit des personnes âgées et des personnes handicapées à leurs rendez-vous, et bon nombre de Canadiens ont amassé des fonds et rassemblé des ressources pour appuyer des initiatives communautaires.

Prime Minister Trudeau to participate in Leaders Summit on Climate

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today announced that he will participate in the virtual Leaders Summit on Climate hosted by the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, on April 22 and 23.

Consistent with the Roadmap for a Renewed U.S.-Canada Partnership, Canada is committed to working with the United States to take action on the climate crisis, and to create jobs and economic opportunity for people in both our countries.

The Leaders Summit on Climate will be an important opportunity for heads of state and government, and business and civil society leaders to meet and discuss the urgent need for stronger climate action. The Summit will also highlight how reducing emissions and adapting to climate change will lead to new economic opportunities and jobs, including here in Canada.

During the Summit, Prime Minister Trudeau will discuss how Canada is taking bold climate action – including through our climate plan, A Healthy Environment and a Healthy Economy – to make life more affordable and communities more livable, create jobs and middle class growth, and ensure cleaner air and water for our kids and grandkids.

Canada’s Minister of Environment and Climate Change Jonathan Wilkinson will also participate in a session on how nature-based solutions can be an important part of climate action. Minister of International Development Karina Gould will also represent the Canadian delegation.

Leaders at the virtual Summit will also discuss how to strengthen collective efforts to reduce emissions, mobilize public and private sector investments to drive the net-zero transition, and help vulnerable countries cope with climate impacts.

Climate change knows no borders. Only by working together with our global partners, can we build a stronger, more resilient, and cleaner future for Canadians and people around the world.

Ο Αντιπρόεδρος της Βουλής και Βουλευτής Δυτικής Αττικής, Θανάσης Μπούρας, εκπροσωπώντας τη Βουλή των Ελλήνων, παρέστη σήμερα, Δευτέρα 19 Απριλίου, στη Δοξολογία που πραγματοποιήθηκε στον Καθεδρικό Μητροπολιτικό Ναό Αθηνών για τον εορτασμό της Ημέρας Φιλελληνισμού και Διεθνούς Αλληλεγγύης.

Στη Δοξολογία παρέστησαν η Α.Ε. Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίας, κα Αικατερίνη Σακελλαροπούλου, η Υπουργός Παιδείας και Θρησκευμάτων, κα Νίκη Κεραμέως και ο Περιφερειάρχης Αττικής κ. Γιώργος Πατούλης.

Στη συνέχεια η Πρόεδρος της Δημοκρατίαςκα Σακελλαροπούλου κατέθεσε στεφάνι στο Μνημείο του Αγνώστου Στρατιώτη.

Η 19^η Απριλίου, ημέρα θανάτου του μέγα Φιλέλληνα Λόρδου Βύρωνα, υπέρμαχου των ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων και της επιστροφής των Γλυπτών του Παρθενώνα στη γενέτειρά τους, καθιερώθηκε με το 130/2008 Προεδρικό Διάταγμα ως Ημέρα Φιλελληνισμού και Διεθνούς Αλληλεγγύης.

Spurring sustainable long-term socio-economic recovery and job creation in the Southern Neighbourhood is a key shared priority and the innovative cornerstone of the new Agenda for the Mediterranean. Since 2012 the Sahel has faced a profound security crisis that has hampered its development and, together with other long-term trends such as climate change, demographic pressure, the access to natural resources and epidemic risks, risks wiping out the progress made in recent decades. During the period of the previous EU Sahel strategy (2011-2020), the EU has mobilised all instruments at its disposal, from humanitarian aid to security forces, to support the Sahel populations, and now intends to intensify its political efforts through a new, ambitious, inclusive and flexible strategy based on the principle of mutual accountability with Sahel partner authorities. In line with international coordination efforts within the Sahel Coalition, the EU emphasises the importance of a 'civilian and political leap forward' focusing both on short-term stabilisation and long-term prospects for sustainable social, environmental and economic development, above and beyond military involvement. The promotion protection and fulfilment of all human rights will continue to remain at the heart of EU support for the Sahel, as well as efforts in the areas of governance and the rule of law, anti-corruption, and the provision of basic public services to all people. Recognizing past as well as emerging trends, the EU will continue to support Sahel partners in fighting terrorist armed groups, and support their efforts in the field of security sector reform. Indo-Pacific: Council adopts conclusions on EU strategy for cooperation

 

Press material Monday 19 April 2021   ● Council of the EU   19/04/2021 10:34 | Press release | Indo-Pacific: Council adopts conclusions on EU strategy for cooperation   The Council approved conclusions on an EU strategy for cooperation in the Indo-Pacific, setting out the EU’s intention to reinforce its strategic focus, presence and actions in this region of prime strategic importance for EU interests. The aim is to contribute to regional stability, security, prosperity and sustainable development, at a time of rising challenges and tensions in the region. The renewed EU commitment to the Indo-Pacific, a region spanning from the east coast of Africa to the Pacific island states, will have a long-term focus and will be based on upholding democracy, human rights, the rule of law and respect for international law. Current dynamics in the Indo-Pacific have given rise to intense geopolitical competition adding to increasing tensions on trade and supply chains as well as in technological, political and security areas. Human rights are also being challenged. These developments increasingly threaten the stability and security of the region and beyond, directly impacting on the EU’s interests. Consequently, the EU’s approach and engagement will look to foster a rules-based international order, a level playing field, as well as an open and fair environment for trade and investment, reciprocity, the strengthening of resilience, tackling climate change and supporting connectivity with the EU. Free and open maritime supply routes in full compliance with international law remain crucial. The EU will look to work together with its partners in the Indo-Pacific on these issues of common interest. The EU will continue to develop partnerships in the areas of security and defence, including to address maritime security, malicious cyber activities, disinformation, emerging technologies, terrorism, and organised crime. The EU and its regional partners will also work together in order to mitigate the economic and human effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and work towards ensuring an inclusive and sustainable socio-economic recovery. The Council tasked the High Representative and the Commission with putting forward a Joint Communication on cooperation in the Indo-Pacific by September 2021.
