This was something U.N. bureaucrats and diplomats needed to hear from the leader of the free world.” President Trump: “The future does not belong to globalists.” American Farmers Main Winners From U.S.-Japan Trade Agreement -Bloomberg It’s U.S. farmers that “are set to be the main winners from President Donald Trump’s initial accord with Japan,” Mario Parker reports. “Under a trade agreement announced by Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Wednesday, the Asian country will lower or reduce tariffs on some $7.2 billion of American-grown farming products.” U.S. Will Remain in Postal Treaty After Emergency Talks -The New York Times The Trump Administration “agreed on Wednesday to stay in a United Nations body that has regulated international mail service for more than a century after delegates agreed during emergency talks to change the way postal fees are structured,” Nick Cumming-Bruce reports. The deal “will allow the United States to start setting its own postal fees in July and allow other countries that receive more than 75,000 metric tons of mail a year to start phasing in higher rates in January 2021.” White House Director of Trade and Manufacturing Policy Peter Navarro called the decision a “huge victory for millions of American workers and businesses,” saving the United States between $300 million and $500 million a year. It was there, in a diverse and changing neighborhood, that I began a journey that took me to settings I never could have imagined at that age. And you’ll hear how Chicago influenced both Barack and me—and how we hope the Obama Presidential Center will help shape the journeys of others. And this year the theme is a special one for me: Places reveal our purpose. Looking back at photos like these, I’m struck by how much of the South Side I still carry with me today. It was the place where Craig and I developed our competitive edge, boxing in the kitchen and playing in the neighborhood parks. It’s where we rode bikes down the street and spent summers hanging out with friends of all backgrounds—before white flight took hold and began to reshape our community. And it was there, on the second floor of a modest brick bungalow, that I saw my parents raise their children with integrity, dignity, and purpose—values that I carry with me every day. Governor Jon Husted as two of its newest members, announced Supreme President George G. Horiates. Supreme President Horiates thanked Past Supreme President Carl R. Hollister and District 11 Gov. Την εκδήλωση φιλοξένησαν  οι ευρωβουλευτές της Oμάδας του Ευρωπαϊκού Λαϊκού Κόμματος (ΕΛΚ), Άννα Μισέλ Ασημακοπούλου και Traian Basescu και η ευρωβουλευτής της Ομάδας των Ευρωπαίων Συντηρητικών και Μεταρρυθμιστών (ΕΣΜ), Anna Fotyga.

Κατάμεστη η αίθουσα «Aldo Moro» του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου εχθές στις Βρυξέλλες, όπου οι ευρωβουλευτές Άννα-Μισέλ Ασημακοπούλου (ΕΛΚ, Ελλάδα), Traian Basescu (ΕΛΚ, Ρουμανία) και Anna Fotyga  (ΕΣΜ, Πολωνία) φιλοξένησαν εκδήλωση που διοργανώθηκε από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ισραηλινή Ένωση, με θέμα  «Απονομιμοποίηση του Ισραήλ: Το αποδεκτό πρόσωπο του αντισημιτισμού».

Στην εκδήλωση παρευρέθηκαν εκπρόσωποι της Ευρωπαϊκής Ισραηλινής Ένωσης, πρέσβεις, ευρωβουλευτές και βουλευτές εθνικών κοινοβουλίων.

Στην κεντρική του εισήγηση ο Ισραηλινός Υπουργός Δημοσίας Ασφάλειας και Στρατηγικών Υποθέσεων, Gilad Erdan, επικεντρώθηκε στη σύνδεση μεταξύ του αντισημιτισμού και της ρητορικής του Κινήματος BDS.

Εισηγήσεις επίσης έκαναν η Συντονίστρια της Ε.Ε. για την καταπολέμηση του Αντισημιτισμού, Katharina Von Schnurbein και o Ειδικός Απεσταλμένος των ΗΠΑ για την καταπολέμηση του Αντισημιτισμού, Elan Carr.

Ανοίγοντας την εκδήλωση  η ευρωβουλευτής της ΝΔ, Άννα Μισέλ Ασημακοπούλου, σημείωσε ότι  «σε μία εποχή όπου οι αντισημιτικές πράξεις  αυξάνονται ολοένα και περισσότερο σε ολόκληρη την Ευρώπη, είναι επιτακτική ανάγκη να ενώσουμε τις δυνάμεις μας κατά των διακρίσεων, του ρατσισμού και της ξενοφοβίας. Κλείνοντας, τόνισε πως η ίδια παραμένει προσωπικά αφοσιωμένη στον αγώνα κατά του αντισημιτισμού που συνεχίζεται στην Ελλάδα.

Αθήνα, 26 Σεπτεμβρίου 2019 Από το Γραφείο Τύπου της Νέας Δημοκρατίας εκδόθηκε η ακόλουθη ανακοίνωση: Οικολογική Υποκρισία «Οι ομιλίες του Αλέξη Τσίπρα και των στελεχών του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ ξεχειλίζουν από περιβαλλοντική ευαισθησία. Θρηνούν για τον Αμαζόνιο και την κλιματική αλλαγή και την ίδια στιγμή γεμίζουν με αφίσες τους δρόμους της Αθήνας!  Όπως και ως κυβέρνηση που μιλούσαν για το περιβάλλον και πως ως αντιμνημονιακοί θα μάζευαν τα σκουπίδια αλλιώς, τελικά άφησαν την Ελλάδα καταδικασμένη με πρόστιμα από την ΕΕ για παραβίαση περιβαλλοντικών κανόνων!            Φαίνεται ότι για τον κ. Τσίπρα και το ΣΥΡΙΖΑ το περιβάλλον έχει αξία ως σύνθημα ή ως ταμπέλα στη νέα μαρκίζα του κόμματός τους μήπως κερδίσουν ψήφους. ΥΓ: Θυμίζουμε ότι η Νέα Δημοκρατία στην προεκλογική περίοδο δεν έκανε αφισοκόλληση σεβόμενη το περιβάλλον και τις αρχές της». Αθήνα, 26 Σεπτεμβρίου 2019 Από το Γραφείο Τύπου της Νέας Δημοκρατίας, για την επέτειο της δολοφονίας του Παύλου Μπακογιάννη, εκδόθηκε η ακόλουθη ανακοίνωση: «Τριάντα χρόνια συμπληρώνονται σήμερα από εκείνη την ημέρα που οι δολοφόνοι της 17Ν σκότωσαν τον Παύλο Μπακογιάννη. Κατάφεραν να διακόψουν το νήμα της ζωής του αλλά δεν κατάφεραν να σβήσουν τις ιδέες του. Η στάση του στο δημόσιο βίο και οι αγώνες του για τη δημοκρατία συνεχίζουν να μας εμπνέουν». Αθήνα, 27 Σεπτεμβρίου 2019   Συνεδρίασε νωρίτερα στα γραφεία της Νέας Δημοκρατίας η οργανωτική επιτροπή του 13ου Τακτικού Εθνικού Συνεδρίου της Νέας Δημοκρατίας υπό την προεδρία του πρώην Προέδρου της  Βουλής,  πρώην Πρόεδρου της Νέας Δημοκρατίας και Ευρωβουλευτή κ. Ευάγγελου Μεϊμαράκη. Συμμετείχαν ο γραμματέας της Κοινοβουλευτικής Ομάδας της Νέας Δημοκρατίας κ. Σταύρος Καλαφάτης, ο Γραμματέας Πολιτικής Επιτροπής κ. Γιώργος Στεργίου, ο Αντιπρόεδρος της ΟΝΝΕΔ κ. Παύλος Μαρινάκης,  ο Εκπρόσωπος Τύπου κ. Τάσος Γαϊτάνης,  η εκπρόσωπος τύπου κα Έλενα Σώκου, ο Γραμματέας Στρατηγικού Σχεδιασμού & Επικοινωνίας κ. Βασίλης Φεύγας, ο Γραμματέας Οργανωτικού - Διευθυντής Γραφείου Προέδρου κ. Στέλιος Κονταδάκης, ο Σύμβουλος Προέδρου κ. Θανάσης Νέζης, ο Γενικός Διευθυντής του κόμματος κ. Γιάννης Μπρατάκος καθώς και ο Διευθυντής του Γραφείου Τύπου κ. Νίκος Ρωμανός. Στην παρθενική αυτή συνεδρίαση της οργανωτικής επιτροπής συζητήθηκαν εκτενώς ο οδικός χάρτης, οι προκλήσεις και οι στόχοι του επικείμενου συνεδρίου με βασικούς άξονες την αποτίμηση του εκλογικού αποτελέσματος και τον νέο ρόλο που καλείται να παίξει το κόμμα μετά τις εκλογές της 7ης Ιουλίου. Ο κ. Μεϊμαράκης  αμέσως μετά την ολοκλήρωση της συνεδρίασης δήλωσε: «Υλοποιώντας την εξαγγελία του Προέδρου του κόμματος, του Κυριάκου Μητσοτάκη για το Συνέδριο το οποίο θα πραγματοποιηθεί τέλος Νοεμβρίου, αρχές Δεκεμβρίου, είχαμε σήμερα μια πρώτη συνάντηση της Οργανωτικής Επιτροπής με επικεφαλής και τον Γραμματέα του κόμματος και τον Γενικό Διευθυντή και τους Γραμματείς τους αρμόδιους για την καλύτερη δυνατή επιτυχία του Συνεδρίου. Το οποίο θα δώσει την ώθηση στην Νέα Δημοκρατία -η οποία σήμερα κυβερνά- και που το κόμμα τη στηρίζει κριτικά και δίνει το όραμα το οποίο έχουμε μέσα από το πρόγραμμα που έχει κατατεθεί ήδη και έχει εγκριθεί από τον ελληνικό λαό. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό πιστεύουμε ότι θα ‘ναι ένα Συνέδριο το οποίο θα είναι γιορτή της Δημοκρατίας, της Νέας Δημοκρατίας, οι συνθήκες μετά τις 7 Ιουλίου είναι εντελώς διαφορετικές και στο πλαίσιο αυτό με τη σοβαρότητα που διακρίνει το υπεύθυνο κόμμα της Νέας Δημοκρατίας θα παρουσιάσουμε στον Ελληνικό λαό το πρόγραμμά μας για το πως θα είναι η διακυβέρνηση της χώρας, μέσα στο πλαίσιο το οποίο εγκρίθηκε στις 7 Ιουλίου». Ο κ. Στεργίου αμέσως μετά την ολοκλήρωση της συνεδρίασης δήλωσε: «Στις 7 Ιουλίου άλλαξε η εικόνα για τη χώρα. Το Συνέδριο της Νέας Δημοκρατίας που θα διεξαχθεί στο τέλος Νοεμβρίου νομίζω θα σηματοδοτήσει και μια νέα εποχή για το κόμμα της Νέας Δημοκρατίας».
