The Convention between the Kingdom of Norway and the Kingdom of Belgium for the avoidance of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and for the prevention of fiscal evasion was signed on 23 April 2014 and entered into force on 26 April 2018. Prime Minister concludes productive G7 Leaders’ Summit in France

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today concluded his participation at the G7 Leaders’ Summit in Biarritz, France.
In discussions on the global economy with G7 leaders, Prime Minister Trudeau stressed the need for leaders to work together to build economies that work for everyone and strengthen the middle class. He underscored the importance of the rules-based international order in supporting growth and opportunities for people around the world to share in a better future.
The G7 leaders also agreed to Prime Minister Trudeau's initiative to task their Finance Ministers to report back to their leaders on the state of the global economy, so countries can take concerted action to address signs of risk and ensure stable, sustained growth for people.
G7 leaders agreed to work in partnership with African leaders to support transformation, growth, shared prosperity in Africa. The Prime Minister announced several initiatives, including funding in support of the Affirmative Finance Action for Women in Africa initiative to help women entrepreneurs succeed by providing them with access to financing to start their own businesses.
During the Summit, leaders discussed the importance of advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment. Canada joined the Biarritz Partnership on Gender Equality which highlighted the progress being made by Canada on policy and legislative measures needed to further address inequalities in Canada and abroad. Leaders agreed to concrete actions in response to the recommendations of the G7 Gender Equality Advisory Council, which was launched for the first time by Canada in 2018, and continued by France in 2019.
Prime Minister Trudeau also announced $179.2 million in investments to support quality education for women and girls living in crisis, conflict-affected and fragile states. This funding completes Canada’s commitment as part of the $3.8 billion mobilized at the G7 Summit in Charlevoix, Quebec in 2018 – the largest in history.
A key theme of the Summit was the importance of addressing climate change, biodiversity and oceans. The Prime Minister stressed the urgent need for collective action to tackle the climate crisis and protect our shared environment. He announced an important set of projects to support global climate action including continued strong support for the Green Climate Fund. He also underscored Canada’s leadership to safeguard our world’s oceans, coasts, and coastal communities, and called on others to come together to protect these shared resources. Canada welcomed France’s work to encourage coalitions on environmental issues.
During the Summit, leaders discussed the opportunities that artificial intelligence offers our economies and societies. The Prime Minister spoke about the importance of the responsible development of human-centric approaches to artificial intelligence, The Prime Minister advanced a new Global Partnership on AI, an initiative created by Canada and France, and developed in partnership with other countries and the OECD.
The Prime Minister announced $15 million to help fight the fires in the Amazon.
In addition to the discussion regarding the wildfires in the Amazon, the Prime Minister and his G7 counterparts also discussed efforts to address key regional and global challenges, including Russia and ongoing reform efforts in Ukraine, as well as the crisis in Venezuela. The Prime Minister thanked the Leaders for their support in advocating for the release of the detained Canadians Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig in China.

Today, President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump return home after attending this year’s G-7 Summit in Biarritz, France. President Trump met with world leaders to strengthen our alliances, secure better trade deals, and—as always—keep the interests of the American people front and center on the global stage.
The summit began in 1975 as an opportunity for world leaders to meet face-to-face and find solutions to the most pressing modern-day global challenges.
This year was no exception, as President Trump worked with our allies to chart a course toward even more prosperity both here at home and around the world. Here are a few of the biggest takeaways from the trip:
A message of unity. President Trump and President Emmanuel Macron of host nation France held a joint press conference earlier today. Over the weekend, they worked together to achieve progress on a number of fronts, including global security, fair trade practices, and better economic opportunity for all. “I want to thank you very much, Mr. President, for the incredible job you did. This is a truly successful G-7,” President Trump said.
Securing a billion-dollar trade deal. One of the biggest wins from the summit was President Trump’s announcement of locking in a trade agreement with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan. The deal secures market access for a number of American agricultural goods, and Japan has agreed to purchase large sums of our farmers’ corn.
Promoting USMCA. With Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau by his side, President Trump talked about the importance of expanding America’s trading partnership with our neighbors by passing the U.S.–Mexico–Canada Agreement. With both Canada and Mexico having essentially finalized it, President Trump noted that it’s time for American lawmakers to do the same. “Our farmers love it, the unions love it, the workers love it, manufacturers love it . . . hopefully that’ll be put to a vote very soon.”
Developing stronger trade with Europe. While meeting with Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany, President Trump discussed how best to meet global and regional security challenges and previewed even better trade relations to come with Germany and the European Union. Germany is “a great trading partner,” he said. “And we probably think we’re going to be upping the trade over a very short period of time.”
Helping to reduce India-Pakistan tensions. In his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, President Trump reaffirmed the need for dialogue between India and Pakistan and also worked to build on the great economic relations between our nations.

“This is the third G-7 meeting for President Trump, and by far, the best,” Rebecca Grant writes in Fox News. “Before Trump became president, few noticed these meetings of Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Canada and the United States, which have been taking place since 1975.”
Topping the list of issues at the summit was Iran, where President Trump made his conditions clear: “No nuclear weapons, no ballistic missiles, and a longer timeline for a new Iran deal.” Thanks to cooperation at the G-7, the groundwork for progress toward Iran meeting those goals may be closer than ever.
“The Trump administration announced last week it will terminate the Flores settlement agreement, a 1997 court decree that has prevented U.S. officials from detaining migrant families and unaccompanied minors for more than 20 days. Media coverage predictably—and inaccurately—warned of ‘indefinite detention’ for families and children caught crossing the southwest border,” John Daniel Davidson writes in The Wall Street Journal. “But ending the settlement was the right call. More than any other single policy, it has created a magnet for illegal immigration, essentially guaranteeing entry to unaccompanied minors and any adult who crosses the Rio Grande with a child.”
“President Trump got slammed by all sides for suddenly escalating his economic war with China on Friday. But for Americans who have lost a family member or friend to the Chinese-made street drug fentanyl, Trump’s harsh pivot is the right move,” Betsy McCaughey writes in the New York Post. “In the last three years alone, fentanyl and similar synthetic opioids manufactured in Chinese labs have killed some 79,000 Americans. That’s more than the American combatants killed in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq combined.”

The G7 Leaders wish to underline their great unity and the positive spirit of the debates. The G7 Summit organized by France in Biarritz has successfully produced agreements by the Heads of State and Government themselves on several points summarized below:
Trade The G7 is committed to open and fair world trade and to the stability of the global economy. The G7 requests that the Finance Ministers closely monitor the state of the global economy. Therefore, the G7 wishes to overhaul the WTO to improve effectiveness with regard to intellectual property protection, to settle disputes more swiftly and to eliminate unfair trade practices. The G7 commits to reaching in 2020 an agreement to simplify regulatory barriers and modernize international taxation within the framework of the OECD.
Iran We fully share two objectives: to ensure that Iran never acquires nuclear weapons and to foster peace and stability in the region.
UkraineFrance and Germany will organize a Normandy format summit in the coming weeks to achieve tangible results.
LibyaWe support a truce in Libya that will lead to a long-term ceasefire. We believe that only a political solution can ensure Libya’s stability. We call for a well-prepared international conference to bring together all the stakeholders and regional actors relevant to this conflict. We support in this regard the work of the United Nations and the African Union to set up an inter-Libyan conference.
Hong KongThe G7 reaffirms the existence and importance of the Sino-British Joint Declaration of 1984 on Hong Kong and calls for violence to be avoided.

Main results
President Donald Tusk represented the EU at the G7 summit, where leaders discussed global challenges such as Iran, trade tensions, the fight against inequalities and climate change. They also discussed the global issue of the wildfires in the Amazon. At the end of the summit, they adopted the G7 Leaders' Declaration.
The summit took place under the French presidency of the G7, which is centred around the fight against inequalities. With that goal in mind, the French G7 presidency has adjusted the format of the G7 to involve international partners and representatives of civil society.
The EU's priority during the summit was to defend the rules-based order and its organisations as the best approach to global governance.
Donald Tusk warned ahead of the summit that the meeting would be a difficult test of unity and solidarity for the free world and its leaders:
"There is still no certainty whether the group will be able to find common solutions, and the global challenges are today really serious, or whether it will focus on senseless disputes among each other. The last years have shown that it is increasingly difficult for all of us to find common language when the world needs our cooperation more, not less. This may be the last moment to restore our political community."

Leaders also agreed to disburse €20m to finance aeroplanes to fight the wildfires in the Amazon rainforest recognising the global nature of the environmental catastrophe.

The G7 leaders also reaffirmed the existence and importance of the Sino-British Joint Declaration of 1984 on Hong Kong and called for violence to be avoided.
On Libya, they supported a truce that will lead to a long-term ceasefire.

Trade
Leaders discussed the global economic outlook and issues related to trade tensions. They also talked about international taxation, especially on a coordinated approach to the issue of taxation in the digital sector.
Leaders exchanged views on how to safeguard the rules-based trading system and how to de-escalate current trade tensions. They also tasked the G7 finance ministers to closely monitor the state of the global economy.
The reform of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) was also on the agenda, following the commitment made at the G20 summit in Osaka to modernise the WTO.

The G7 committed to reaching in 2020 an agreement to simplify regulatory barriers and modernize international taxation within the framework of the OECD.
Africa
G7 leaders endorsed a new framework between the G7 and Africa. They worked together to find ways of cooperating with African partners to develop tools to support sustainable economic development across the continent. The results of the talks are reflected in the Biarritz Declaration for a G7 and Africa Partnership.
In addition, a specific G7 action plan on the Sahel was endorsed to improve development and security cooperation.
The EU also announced financial support for the African Development Bank's Affirmative Finance Action for Women in Africa (AFAWA) programme. The EU's contribution of over €85 million will help develop 100 000 businesses run by women.
Fighting against inequalities and women's empowerment
Leaders underlined the significance of women's participation in the labour market, and highlighted the importance of education for girls and women, especially in developing countries. G7 partners have also committed to specific areas of action to achieve progress on gender equity.
As regards financial commitments, the EU announced a contribution of €550 million to the replenishment of the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. "This means that our overall involvement will exceed €1 billion," said President Donald Tusk at the beginning of the summit.
The EU will also contribute an initial €1 million to the International Fund for Survivors of Conflict-Related Sexual Violence, which Nadia Murad and Doctor Denis Mukwege, winners of the 2018 Nobel Peace Prize, presented to G7 leaders during the summit in Biarritz.
Climate change and oceans
On climate change, the EU and other G7 partners reaffirmed their commitment to the full and effective implementation of the Paris Agreement.
Leaders followed up on the G7 Ocean Plastics Charter agreed last year at their summit in Canada and discussed further initiatives to reduce plastic pollution.
G7 leaders also endorsed a charter on biodiversity, as adopted by the G7 environment ministers in May 2019. The charter aims to boost efforts to halt biodiversity loss and to sustain a healthy planet.
Digital transformation
Leaders also discussed the digital transformation and how to ensure that it is open, free and secure. The discussion focused on ways to defend our democratic societies and institutions – and our electoral processes – from foreign threats.
Leaders exchanged views on how to continue the fight against terrorist content online. They also discussed international cooperation on artificial intelligence.
About the French G7 presidency
France holds the G7 presidency until 31 December 2019 and hosted the G7 meeting in Biarritz.
Under its G7 presidency, France aims to combat the root causes of inequality. The French G7 presidency focuses on five priorities in the fight against inequality:
fighting inequality of opportunity
fighting inequality related to environmental degradation
security and counter-terrorism
fighting inequality through digital development and artificial intelligence
combating inequality through a renewed partnership with Africa
The G7 summit is a forum that plays an important role in shaping global responses to global challenges, complementing the global economic coordination carried out by the G20.

Βιογραφικό του Κυριάκου Μητσοτάκη Ο Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης γεννήθηκε το 1968 στην Αθήνα. Αφού αποφοίτησε αριστούχος από το Κολλέγιο Αθηνών συνέχισε τις σπουδές του στην Αμερική. Σπούδασε κοινωνικές επιστήμες στο Harvard από όπου αποφοίτησε με την ανώτατη τιμητική διάκριση «summa cum laude» ενώ τιμήθηκε με τα έπαθλα «Hoopes» και «Tocqueville» για την εκπόνηση της διατριβής του με θέμα την αμερικανική εξωτερική πολιτική απέναντι στην Ελλάδα. Συνέχισε τις σπουδές του στο Stanford, στον τομέα των διεθνών οικονομικών σχέσεων και τις ολοκλήρωσε στο Harvard Business School στον τομέα της διοίκησης επιχειρήσεων. Πριν ασχοληθεί με την πολιτική, εργάστηκε επί μία δεκαετία στον ιδιωτικό τομέα στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Διετέλεσε οικονομικός αναλυτής στην Chase Investment Bank και σύμβουλος στην κορυφαία εταιρία συμβούλων McKinsey and Company στο Λονδίνο. Για την επαγγελματική του δραστηριότητα έχει λάβει τιμητικές διακρίσεις, με σημαντικότερη την βράβευσή του το 2003 από το World Economic Forum ως “Global Leader for Tomorrow”. Στις εκλογές του 2004 και του 2007 εξελέγη πρώτος σε σταυρούς προτίμησης βουλευτής με τη Νέα Δημοκρατία στη μεγαλύτερη εκλογική περιφέρεια της χώρας, τη Β΄ Αθηνών, ενώ στις εκλογές του 2009 εξελέγη για τρίτη φορά. Στις εκλογές του Μαΐου 2012 εξελέγη για μία ακόμη φορά πρώτος στη Β’ Αθηνών, ενώ ήταν επικεφαλής του ψηφοδελτίου στις εκλογές του Ιουνίου 2012. Στη Βουλή των Ελλήνων έχει συμμετάσχει στην Επιτροπή Αναθεώρησης του Συντάγματος και στις Επιτροπές Οικονομικών, Παραγωγής και Εμπορίου, Ευρωπαϊκών Υποθέσεων και Εξωτερικών και Άμυνας ενώ διετέλεσε για δύο χρόνια Πρόεδρος της Επιτροπής Περιβάλλοντος. Έως τις εκλογές του 2012 ήταν Τομεάρχης Περιβαλλοντικής Πολιτικής της Νέας Δημοκρατίας. Έχει επισκεφθεί πολλές περιβαλλοντικά ευαίσθητες περιοχές της χώρας, έχει συμμετάσχει σε δεκάδες συνέδρια για το περιβάλλον στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό μεταξύ αυτών στις διεθνείς διασκέψεις του ΟΗΕ για την κλιματική αλλαγή στο Μπαλί, το Πόζναν, το Κανκούν και την Κοπεγχάγη. Διετέλεσε Υπουργός Διοικητικής Μεταρρύθμισης και Ηλεκτρονικής Διακυβέρνησης από τις 25 Ιουνίου 2013 μέχρι τις 27 Ιανουαρίου 2015. Στις εθνικές εκλογές της 25ης Ιανουαρίου 2015 εξελέγη για πέμπτη φορά βουλευτής της ΝΔ στη Β’ Αθηνών τετραπλασιάζοντας τους σταυρούς που έλαβε σε σχέση με τις εθνικές εκλογές του Μαΐου 2012. Στις 10 Ιανουαρίου 2016 εξελέγη πρόεδρος της Νέας Δημοκρατίας και αρχηγός της Αξιωματικής Αντιπολίτευσης. Στις 7 Ιουλίου 2019 εξελέγη Πρωθυπουργός της Ελλάδας. Μιλάει Αγγλικά, Γαλλικά και Γερμανικά και έχει εκδώσει το βιβλίο «Οι Συμπληγάδες της Εξωτερικής Πολιτικής». Έχει τρία παιδιά, τη Σοφία, τον Κωνσταντίνο και τη Δάφνη.

Tι ήταν η ΕΦΗΜΕΡΙΔΑ «ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΗ»..για όσους δεν γνωρίζουν.
Η «ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΗ» γεννήθηκε το 2000,ως συνέχεια του Περιοδικού «ΑΧΑΡΝΕΩΝ Έργα». Δημιουργήθηκε από Επαγγελματίες Εκδότες με δεκαετίες στον τομέα της Διαφήμισης, των Εκδόσεων και των Δημοσίων Σχέσεων και αρχικά ήταν μια Υπερτοπική Εφημερίδα με κύριο αντικείμενο το Αυτοδιοικητικό Ρεπορτάζ.
Επί χρόνια, κυκλοφορούσε την έντυπη έκδοσή της σε ένα ικανότατο τιράζ (5000 καλαίσθητων φύλλων εβδομαδιαίως) και εντυπωσίαζε με την ποιότητα της εμφάνισης και το ουσιώδες, μαχητικό και έντιμο περιεχόμενο της.
Η δύναμη της Πένας της Εφημερίδας, η Ειλικρίνεια, οι Ερευνές της που έφερναν πάντα ουσιαστικό αποτέλεσμα ενημέρωσης, την έφεραν πολύ γρήγορα πρώτη στην προτίμηση των αναγνωστών και γρήγορα εξελίχθηκε σε Εφημερίδα Γνώμης και όχι μόνον για την Περιφέρεια στην οποία κυκλοφορούσε.

=Επί είκοσι τέσσαρα ολόκληρα χρόνια, προβάλλει με αίσθηση καθήκοντος κάθε ξεχωριστό, έντιμο και υπεύθυνο Πολιτικό της Πολιτικής Σκηνής. Στις σελίδες της, θα βρείτε ακόμα και σήμερα μόνο άξιες και χρήσιμες Πολιτικές Προσωπικότητες αλλά και ενημέρωση από κάθε Κόμμα της Ελληνικής Βουλής. Η «ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΗ» ουδέποτε διαχώρησε τους αναγνώστες της ανάλογα με τα πολιτικά τους πιστεύω. Επραττε το καθήκον της, ενημερώνοντας όλους τους Ελληνες, ως όφειλε.
=Επί είκοσι τέσσαρα ολόκληρα χρόνια, δίνει βήμα στους αδέσμευτους, τους επιτυχημένους, τους γνώστες και θιασώτες της Αλήθειας. Στηρίζει τον Θεσμό της Ελληνικής Οικογένειας, την Παιδεία, την Ελληνική Ιστορία, προβάλλει με όλες της τις δυνάμεις τους Αδελφούς μας απανταχού της Γης, ενημερώνει για τα επιτεύγματα της Επιστήμης, της Επιχειρηματικότητας και πολλά άλλα που πολύ καλά γνωρίζουν οι Αναγνώστες της.
=Επί είκοσι τέσσαρα ολόκληρα χρόνια, ο απλός δημότης–πολίτης, φιλοξενείται στις σελίδες της με μόνη προϋπόθεση την ειλικρινή και αντικειμενική γραφή και την ελεύθερη Γνώμη, η οποία ΟΥΔΕΠΟΤΕ λογοκρίθηκε.
Η ΕΦΗΜΕΡΙΔΑ «ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΗ», είναι ένα βήμα Ισονομίας και Ισοπολιτείας, έννοιες απόλυτα επιθυμητές, ιδιαιτέρως στις ημέρες μας. Είναι ο δικτυακός τόπος της έκφρασης του πολίτη και της εποικοδομητικής κριτικής, μακριά από κάθε στήριξη αφού δεν ετύγχανε οικονομικής υποστήριξης από Δήμους, Κυβερνήσεις ή όποιους άλλους Δημόσιους ή Ιδιωτικούς Φορείς, δεν είχε ΠΟΤΕ χορηγούς, ή οποιασδήποτε μορφής υποστηρικτές. Απολαμβάνει όμως Διεθνούς σεβασμού αφού φιλοξενεί ενημέρωση από αρκετά ξένα Κράτη πράγμα που της περιποιεί βεβαίως, μέγιστη τιμή.
Η ΕΦΗΜΕΡΙΔΑ «ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΗ» διαγράφει απο την γέννησή της μια αξιοζήλευτη πορεία και απέκτησε εξ αιτίας αυτού,ΜΕΓΙΣΤΗ αναγνωσιμότητα.
Η Εφημερίδα «ΠΟΛΙΤΙΚΗ» κέρδισε την αποδοχή και τον σεβασμό που της ανήκει, με «εξετάσεις» εικοσι τεσσάρων ολόκληρων ετών, με συνεχείς αιματηρούς αγώνες κατά της τοπικής διαπλοκής, με αγώνα επιβίωσης σε πολύ δύσκολους καιρούς, με Εντιμότητα, αίσθηση Καθήκοντος και Ευθύνης.
