Funding awarded to 12 cross-border freelancer teams
€199,000 were awarded by the latest round of IJ4EU's Freelancer Support Scheme. A total of 38 journalists from 21 countries were selected by the external jury, with investigative projects dealing with issues like sustainability, governance, and individual freedoms across borders.

Run by the European Journalism Centre, the Freelancer Support Scheme is designed for teams composed predominantly of freelancers who collaborate on transnational investigations into topics of public interest in Europe and beyond. It offers funding, mentoring, training and networking opportunities.
