On 10 May 2022, the EESC and the French Presidency of the Council of the EU will host an online conference, bringing together high-level speakers, EU policy makers and civil society to lay the groundwork for discussing a new policy framework for a sustainable economy for the wellbeing of society as driver for Europe's resilience. Join us to find out about: - existing initiatives and good practice at national and local level on the sustainable economy we need;
- the challenges and obstacles to scaling up existing initiatives;
- concrete ways and steps needed to achieve a sustainable and resilient economy for the wellbeing of society and for a European Green and Social Deal!
The event, held in the year of the 50th anniversary of the publication of the Club of Rome's report on "The Limits to Growth", will involve a large number of civil society actors and organisations actively promoting an economy of well-being, such as IEEP, the ZOE Institute, OECD, the Club of Rome, and environmental and youth organisations. The full concept and the programme are available on the EESC website. This event will be webstreamed on our website and interpreted into EN, FR and DE. Viewers will have the opportunity to engage in the debate via Slido.com with the code: #SustainableEconomy. |
