- EU butter prices: 461€/100 kg, -11.7% in the last 4 weeks;
- EU SMP prices: 202€/100 kg, -4.1% in the last 4 weeks;
- EU WMP prices: 309€/100 kg, -5.7% in the last 4 weeks;
- EU cheddar prices: 417€/100kg, -2.3% in the last 4 weeks;
- Feed cost decreased by 1.4% and energy cost by 4.5% in week 50 compared to the previous 4 weeks;
- Evolution of EU dairy production in Jan-Oct 2025: butter (+5.2%), SMP (+2.4%); WMP (-9.5%), condensed (-10.5%), cream (-1.7%), drinking milk (-1.2%), fermented milk (+1.9%), cheese (+1.7%);
- In Jan-Aug 2025/24 EU butter exports went up to the USA by 26%, while decreased to China by 11%; EU cheese exports went up to the UK 7%, while decreased to Japan 6% and to the USA 1%;
- During the same period, EU SMP exports went down to Algeria 37% but up to Saudia Arabia 41% and to Indonesia 58% ;
- EU WMP exports decreased to the UK by 15% and to Oman by 5%;
- In Jan- Aug 2025/24, NZ exports increased for butter/(oil) 13%, cheese 15% and WMP 42%; while decreased for SMP 13%;
- US dairy exports in Jan- Aug 2025 were up for butter(oil) 156%, cheese 14% and WMP 53%; while were down for SMP 12%;
- Chinese imports of butter(oil) (+9%), cheese (+9%), WMP (+3%), wheypowder (+13%) and lactose (+19%) were up in Jan- Aug 2025/24, while imports of SMP (-3%), caseines (-27%) and condensed (-13%) were down.
- At the latest GDT auction (16 December 2025), the general price index decreased by 4.4%. with decreases for AMF (5.2%), Butter (2.5%) SMP (2.1%)& WMP (5.7%); no change for Cheese and an increase for Lactose (41.4%).
