Seeking to boost competitiveness and cut red tape, Parliament is due to vote on its negotiating position on simplified sustainability reporting and reduced due diligence rules for companies. MEPs want to reduce the pool of companies falling within the scope of the rules, ease sustainability reporting requirements and due diligence duties.
Legal Affairs Committee (JURI) rapporteur Jörgen Warborn (EPP, SE) will brief journalists following the plenary vote today, and will answer questions about the next steps in the procedure.
WHEN: Today, Thursday 13 November, 13.30 CET
WHERE: European Parliament, Brussels, Anna Politkovskaya Room (SPAAK 0A50) and via Interactio, with interpretation into and from English, French, German, Italian and Swedish.
HOW: Accredited journalists can attend the press conference in person. Those wishing to participate actively and ask questions remotely can do so via Interactio. The press conference will be streamed live and be made available on demand on Parliament’s Multimedia Centre website.
