  • EU butter prices: 615€/100 kg, -6.4% in the last 4 weeks;
  • EU SMP prices: 226€/100 kg, -3.7% in the last 4 weeks;
  • EU WMP prices: 389€/100 kg, -5.1% in the last 4 weeks;
  • EU cheddar prices: 446€/100kg, +0.1% in the last 4 weeks;
  • IT’s spot milk price stabilises at 51.5c/kg (28.09.2025);
  • Feed cost decreased by 2.7% while energy cost increased by 1.2% in week 39 compared to the previous 4 weeks;
  • The USA is more price competitive on butter, SMP & cheddar, while Oceania lead on WMP.

EU agri-food trade remains robust despite increasing prices

EU agri-food trade remained strong in June 2025. Exports held steady above 2024 levels, while imports increased due to high commodity prices. Cocoa, coffee and chocolate drove export growth, but cereals declined. The trade surplus rebounded in June, yet stayed one-third below last year overall.
