Airborne Data Applications for Invasive Species Mapping

 
   
 

In this training offered by NASA’s Applied Remote Sensing Training Program (ARSET), scientists will discuss the applications of airborne and in situ field data for mapping and monitoring terrestrial invasive species using datasets acquired during the BioSCape campaign in South Africa. The training will take place on Sept. 30, 2025.

NASA's National Snow and Ice Data Center Distributed Active Archive Center (NSIDC DAAC) has released ATL03 global geolocated photon data in cloud-optimized HDF5, making the Ice, Cloud, and land Elevation Satellite-2 (ICESat-2) mission one of NASA’s first to publish data in this format.

 
   
 MODIS Version 6.1 OPeNDAP Access at LP DAAC Was Retired

Access to Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Collection 6.1 datasets via legacy, on-premises Open-source Project for a Network Data Access Protocol (OPeNDAP) at NASA's LP DAAC was retired effective September 19, 2025.

NASA's Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC) announced the release of Version 02 of the DSCOVR EPIC Level 3 Photosynthetically Available Radiation (PAR) for ocean surface product (DSCOVR_EPIC_L3_PAR_02).

 
   
 Decommissioning of ECOSTRESS Version 1 Data Products

Select ECOsystem Spaceborne Thermal Radiometer Experiment on Space Station (ECOSTRESS) Version 1 data products are scheduled to be decommissioned on September 30, 2025.

 
   
 EMIT L3 Aggregated Mineral Spectral Abundance Version 2 Data Product Released

NASA’s Earth Surface Mineral Dust Source Investigation (EMIT) mission has released Level 3 Aggregated Mineral Spectral Abundance and Uncertainty (EMITL3ASA) Version 2 data product at a 0.5 degree spatial resolution.

 
   
 ARCSIX Data Products Released

New data is available from the Arctic Radiation-Cloud-Aerosol-Surface Interaction eXperiment (ARCSIX) field campaign, which aims to quantify the contributions of surface properties, clouds, aerosol particles, and precipitation to the Arctic summer surface radiation budget and sea ice melt during the early melt season.

 
   
 TEMPO Version 04 Provisional Level 1, 2, and 3 Data Released

NASA's Tropospheric Emissions: Monitoring of Pollution (TEMPO) Version 04 Level 1, 2, and 3 data are now available from the Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC). This data release includes new L2 and L3 ozone profile beta products.

 
   
 TEMPO NRT Version 02 Level 1, 2, and 3 Data Released

TEMPO near real-time (NRT) Version 02 Level 1, 2, and 3 data are now available from ASDC. The NRT data are available on a 14-day rolling window.

 
   
 PACE-PAX Data Released

The Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem (PACE) Postlaunch Airborne eXperiment (PACE-PAX) mission, which obtained measurements over central and southern California and nearby coastal regions for the validation and refinement of products generated by the PACE satellite mission, has released new data.

 
   
 ASTER On-Demand Processing To End

On December 15, 2025, the on-demand product generation system—the Simple Scalable Script-based Science Processor for Missions, or S4PM—that allows users to submit requests to process Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) L1A Version 3 scenes into Level 2 and Level 3 products with custom ancillary input options will be decommissioned.
