| Argentina accepts Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies, five remaining for entry into force |
| Argentina deposited its instrument of acceptance of the Agreement on Fisheries Subsidies on 22 July. Ambassador Gustavo Lunazzi presented Argentina’s instrument of acceptance to Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. Just five more acceptances are needed for the Agreement to enter into force. |

| Canada is giving CAD 250,000 (approximately CHF 152,000) to support initiatives that strengthen sanitary and phytosanitary (SPS) capacity in developing and least-developed countries through the Standards and Trade Development Facility (STDF). This contribution in 2025 will be key to bolster developing countries' ability to become better integrated in world markets and uphold rules-based international trade, based on the STDF’s new Strategy for 2025-2030. |
