About Stefanie Stantcheva

Stefanie Stantcheva is the Nathaniel Ropes Professor of Political Economy at Harvard University and founder and director of the Social Economics Lab. She studies the taxation of firms and individuals, as well as how people understand, perceive, and form their attitudes towards economic issues and policies.

 

She is this year’s recipient of the prestigious Clark Medal, awarded by the American Economic Association for the most significant contributions to economic thought by an economist under 40.
