InterviewAssessing the health and environmental impacts of noise "When people think about noise and health, they often picture loud places like concerts or heavy machinery that can hurt our hearing. However, the effects of noise pollution go beyond those on the hearing system and are very extensive. For example, if we are constantly exposed at home to background noise from traffic, it can lead to serious health problems like heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes and many more." |

Europe is warming up faster than any other continent and the most vulnerable people are bearing the brunt of climate impacts. The new report from the European Environment Agency (EEA) 'Social fairness in preparing for climate change: how just resilience can benefit communities across Europe' shows that although the most vulnerable groups are disproportionately affected, they are often overlooked in climate adaptation planning and especially implementation. |
