American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association Contact: AHEPA Headquarters Phone: 202.232.6300 E-mail: ahepa@ahepa.org AHEPA Observes Yom HaShoah in Israel  The AHEPA Family observed Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Day ceremonies in Israel this week. Also known as Yom HaShoah, the ceremonies spanned two days, beginning at the Yad Vashem Memorial in Jerusalem and ending at a B’Nai B’rith event near Ksalon, Israel. The group was graciously invited to attend both events, the first of which featured Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President of Israel Isaac Herzog in the ceremony. The following day, the Supreme President, Vice President, Canadian President, and Daughters Grand President traveled to Ksalon, where the Supreme President had the opportunity to meet the U.S. Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee.  The group departed Israel today and will conclude their journey with meetings in Athens tomorrow.
