Curator’s Talk: Celebrating Women in Design

Join us for an inspiring lecture by Bata Shoe Museum Curator Nishi Bassi on Tuesday, March 11 as she explores the impactful, but often under-recognized contributions of women in shoe design. From Beth Levine’s pioneering work in the mid-20th century to Aurora James’s modern activism-driven designs, women have played a vital role in shaping the footwear industry.

The Final Countdown

Step back in time to relive the magic of the 1980s at The Final Countdown: An ’80s Video Dance Party on Saturday, March 22 as we celebrate the closing of our hit exhibition Dressed to Impress: Footwear and Consumerism in the 1980s. Dance the night away to the greatest hits of the 80s with iconic music videos playing on big screens and a retro-fun photo booth to capture your totally tubular look.
