With the upcoming retirement of the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) instrument, NASA teams are ready to continue the 20+ year MODIS daily imagery and data record using the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instrument.

 
   
    
 

MODIS, VIIRS, and more than 1,000 other imagery layers (many in near real-time) can be interactively explored using NASA Worldview.

Blue carbon ecosystems, such as mangroves and salt marshes, are a key aspect of natural climate solutions.
