IT spot milk price went up to 46.8 c/kg (12.05.2024);
EU butter prices: 584€/100 kg, +1.3% in the last 4 weeks;
EU SMP prices: 240€/100 kg, +0.6% in the last 4 weeks;
EU WMP prices: 365€/100 kg, +0.9% in the last 4 weeks;
EU cheddar prices: 392€/100kg, -0.2% in the last 4 weeks;
Feed costs increased by +3.8% while energy costs decreased by -3% in week 19 compared to the previous 4 weeks;
US is more price competitive on SMP, Oceania is more price competitive on WMP and EU on butter and cheddar;
In March 2024, milk production increased by +2.8% in AU, while decreased by - 3.5% in NZ, -1% in the US and -0.2% in the UK;
GDT last auction (07.05.2024): general price index +1.8%, with registered price increase for: AMF (+1.2%), butter (+2.1%), BMP (+1.7), Cheese (+8%), SMP (+0.4) and WMP (+2.4%), and a price decrease for: Lactose (- 1.3%).
