Hi there, Collaboration is at the heart of our work at the Obama Foundation for the simple, but powerful, reason that we can accomplish so much more together than we can alone.  Nassima Sadar-Gravier, a 2023 Africa Leader, brought that belief to life when she teamed up with fellow Obama Leaders and Obama Scholars to form AfroClimate, a nonprofit committed to empowering entrepreneurs for a sustainable and inclusive Africa. We recently spotlighted Nassima and AfroClimate’s story on Obama.org. Read the full feature here to get inspired. Nassima lives in Mauritius, and her perspective as a resident of an island nation informs her concerns about climate injustice in Africa. Over the course of the Leaders program, conversations with fellow cohort members deepened her understanding of climate issues communities face in other parts of the continent.  These interactions inspired her to form AfroClimate, which collaborates with existing organizations across Africa to support entrepreneurs who are making an impact on climate related issues.  Read the full profile to learn more about some of these entrepreneurs and the difference they’re making in their communities.
