Secretary General in Tbilisi: NATO supports Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg continued his tour of the South Caucasus on Monday (18 March 2024), meeting with President Salome Zourabichvili and Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze of Georgia in Tbilisi.

During his visit, the Secretary General discussed ways to further strengthen NATO’s partnership with Georgia. NATO is stepping up its cooperation with Georgia in areas such as crisis management, cyber security, military engineering and secure communications.

NATO Secretary General starts South Caucasus visit in Baku, welcomes NATO’s long-standing partnership with Azerbaijan

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg arrived in Baku on Sunday (17 March 2024), kicking off a three-day, tri-nation tour of the South Caucasus. Meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, the Secretary General welcomed Azerbaijan’s long-standing collaboration with the Alliance, saying he looked forward to further strengthening the partnership.

NATO Secretary General meets the Prime Minister of Slovenia

On Thursday, 21 March 2024, the NATO Secretary General, Mr Jens Stoltenberg, will receive the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Dr Robert Golob, at the NATO Headquarters.

NATO Secretary General to visit Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia

From 17 to 19 March 2024, the NATO Secretary General, Mr Jens Stoltenberg, will visit Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

On Sunday, 17 March, the NATO Secretary General will be in Baku, where he will meet with the President of Azerbaijan, Mr Ilham Aliyev.

On Monday, 18 March, Mr Stoltenberg will have discussions with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Mr Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Defence of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov.

On the same day, the NATO Secretary General will travel to Tbilisi. There, he will meet the President of Georgia, Ms Salome Zourabichvili, and the Prime Minister, Mr Irakli Kobakhidze.

On Tuesday, 19 March, Mr Stoltenberg will be in Yerevan, where he will meet with the President of Armenia, Mr Vahagn Khachaturyan, and the Prime Minister, Mr Nikol Pashinyan.
