OBAMA's latest

My Brother's Keeper Alliance
Hi there,

Instilling a love of reading at a young age is a proven way to set our young people up for success, and that’s why one of the six key milestones guiding the work of the My Brother’s Keeper Alliance is reading at grade level by third grade.

Reading is also a great way for kids to learn their history and understand experiences that may be different from their own. With that in mind, we put together a list of books for young readers in honor of Black History Month and the tenth anniversary of MBK.

Check out this list for a great selection of books intended for kids in Pre-K through seventh grade, then share a few of them with children you know!
"Black History Month Reading List for Young Leaders" three book covers called "Because of you, John Lewis," with an illustration of John Lewis on the cover, "Something, Someday," with an illustration of a young Black boy watering a flower, and "What Color is my World," with an illustration of a lit-up lightbulb on it. See the full list at Obama.org
We hope you find something new to read aloud or gift to a young person in your life!
