| NATO AWACS aircraft takes to the skies with an all-female crew A NATO AWACS aircraft flew with its first all-female crew over NATO’s eastern flank, as part of a routine NATO’s enhanced vigilance activities mission. The mission featured 22 servicewomen from eight NATO Allies, representing diverse backgrounds and roles in the Airborne Early Warning community. The flight highlights female aviators and their contributions to NATO’s air defence. Click here to download the b-roll. NATO Defence Ministers to address defence spending, ammunition production, support to Ukraine Defence Ministers will meet in Brussels on Thursday (15 February 2024) to prepare the NATO Summit in Washington in July. Previewing the meeting on Wednesday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg highlighted historic progress on defence spending. Ministers will discuss the progress made in ramping up production of ammunition and they will also adress the resourcing of NATO's new defence plans. On 16 and 17 February 2024, the NATO Secretary General, Mr Jens Stoltenberg, will attend the Munich Security Conference (MSC), together with the Deputy Secretary General, Mr Mircea Geoană. On 16 February, the Secretary General will have joint press statements with the President of the European Commission, Ms Ursula von der Leyen, and the Minister-President of Bavaria, Mr Markus Söder. On 17 February, the Secretary General will participate in a high-level panel at the MSC: “In it to Win it: the Future of Ukraine and Transatlantic Security”.
