Here's the Latest from the UN

Thousands of civilians have lost their lives in the Middle East since the horrific attacks of 7 October. During that time, more than 100 UNRWA staff members working in Gaza have been killed, many alongside their families. They include teachers, school principals, doctor, engineers, guards, support staff and many others.

The loss of so many friends and colleagues is a stark reminder of the immense human suffering that continues to unfold each day. On Monday, the UN family came together to remember our fallen colleagues and honour their lives and service.

The number of United Nations staff who have been killed in Gaza is the highest number of UN aid workers killed in conflict in the history of the organization. As the situation on the ground continues to worsen with each passing day, Secretary-General António Guterres res and other leaders from across the UN continue to appeal for an immediate ceasefire, the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid, and the release of all hostages.
