Hi there,
I recently spent an incredible week in Malawi and South Africa meeting with leaders and young women from the Girls Opportunity Alliance community and some of the inspiring organizations we work with.
I met with students who are part of Advancing Girls’ Education in Africa, an organization we support through the Girls Opportunity Alliance that is working to help girls stay in school and to prevent child marriage.
What I saw in these girls –– from their confidence to the power of their voices –– is something we all know: that education is transformational. As one young woman shared with me — because of her education, her life looks very different from her mother’s who was forced into an early marriage and never got to finish school. The girls in her village now look up to her as a role model for what is possible.
