- IT spot milk price continues rising now at 56.5 c/kg (19/11/2023);
- Feed costs increased by (+4.2%) and energy costs decreased by (-4.5%) in week 46 compared to the previous 4 weeks;
- EU cow's milk collected up by +0.5% in Jan-Sep 2023 compared to Jan-Sep 2022;
- Evolution of dairy productions in Jan.-Sep 2023 compared to the same period 2022: increase for butter (+2%), WMP (+3.4%), cream (+2.8%), drinking milk (+0.3%), fermented (+1%), condensed (+6.2%) and cheese (+1.7%) and decrease only for SMP (-3.5%);
- In September 2023, AU milk productions went up by +0.5% while NZ, US and UK milk production went down by -0.4%, -0.2% and -1.1% respectively;
- In January-August 2023 the EU butter exports decreased to the U.K. by (-23%) while increased to China (+19%) and to the USA (+8%);
- During the same period, EU cheese exports to Japan were down (-12%) and to the USA (-6%);
- In Jan-Aug 2023, EU SMP exports to Algeria and to China were up (+81%, 6% respectively) and down to Indonesia (-44%). EU WMP exports to Oman were down (-16%), China (-31%) and up to the U.K. (+20%);
- In Jan-Aug 2023, NZ exports were up: butter(oil) (+8%), cheese (+2)%, SMP (+23%) and WMP (+15%);
- US dairy exports were down in Jan-Aug 2023: butter(oil) (-45%), cheese (-6%), SMP (-1%) and WMP (-35% );
- Chinese imports of cheese (+18%), SMP (+20%), wheypowder (+26%), caseines (+14%) and lactose (+37%) were up in Jan-Aug 2023 while imports of butter(oil) (-14%), WMP (-40%) and condensed (-34%) were down;
- GDT last auction (21/11/2023): general price index +0.0%, with price increased for AMF (+0.9%), lactose (+6.4%), and WMP (+1.9%) and price decreased for butter (-1.1%), cheese (-9.7%) and SMP (-3.8%).
