Hi there,   The school year is wrapping up here in Chicago, which means the end of another successful Futures Series. I’d love to share an inside look at this meaningful Obama Foundation initiative.  In February of 2022, Mrs. Obama had a conversation with students at Hyde Park Academy High School about their career aspirations and what they need to do to succeed. Soon after, the Futures Series was born. This ongoing collaboration between the Obama Foundation and Hyde Park Academy gives students access to industry leaders from a variety of fields for candid conversations about how they got to where they are in their careers. Learn more about the Series and read a recap of all the 2022-2023 events here.   Here at the Obama Foundation, we’re focused on engaging youth in our own backyard, and this initiative is just one aspect of our ongoing commitment. We want each of these young people to dream a little bit bigger and know that they too can achieve what our speakers have as they chart their own paths.  This year we had a wide range of guests. Students had the opportunity to engage with artists, an accomplished chef, an exceptional trauma surgeon, and our very own former First Lady Michelle Obama, to name a few.
