Last week in Athens, Greece, I had the opportunity to meet with over 100 changemakers from all over the world who have been part of the Obama Foundation Leaders program.

One of the reasons Michelle and I started the Obama Foundation was to support the next generation of leaders, and I’m always so impressed with the work they’re doing in their communities.

This particular group of leaders is from Africa, Asia-Pacific, and Europe – and they’re working on the most pressing issues facing our world, from climate change and human rights to empowering women and girls. We talked about the challenges they’re facing, and what they’re hoping to do next.

Their stories make me feel a little more hopeful about the future – and offer some much-needed inspiration for anyone who wants to get involved in shaping our world.
