- EU SMP prices: 245 €/100 kg, +1.1% in last 4 weeks;
- EU WMP prices: 348 €/100 kg, +2.2% in last 4 weeks;
- EU cheddar prices: 373 €/100 kg, -3.1% in last 4 weeks;
- Increase of IT spot milk price at 45.5 c/kg (21 May);
- Decrease of feed and energy costs (respectively -4.6% and -2.8%) in week 20 compared to the previous 4 weeks;
- In April 2023, AUS milk productions went down by -1.3% while NZ, US and UK milk production went up respectively by +6.8%, +0.3% and +0.2%;
- In January-February 2023 the EU butter exports decreased by 32% to China and by 13% to the U.K. while they increased by 101% to the USA;
- During the same period, EU cheese exports went down to Japan (-25%) and to the USA (-3%) but went up to the U.K. (+5%);
- In Jan.-Feb. 2023, EU SMP exports went up to China (+52%) and Algeria (+142%) and down to Indonesia (-65%). EU WMP exports went down to Oman (-33%), China (-44%) and up to the U.K. (+2%);
- US dairy exports of cheese and SMP went up in Jan.-Feb. 2023 (both +7%) while US butter(oil) and WMP exports went down (-31% and -42%);
- In Jan.-Feb. 2023, the following NZ exports went up: butter(oil) +2%, cheese +13%, SMP +64% while WMP exports went down by -14%;
- Chinese imports of cheese (+4%), whey powder (+63%), caseins (+0.5%) and lactose (+35%) went up in Jan.-Feb. 2023 while imports of butter(oil) (-22%), SMP (-2%), WMP (-68%) and condensed (-73%) went down.
